He spent his entire speech calling for unity in the Democratic party then promptly started attacking Sanders saying he would not be able to take down Trump. Basically he's saying unity but only under me. Me! Everyone pay attention to me! I'm your only hope! Why don't you misguided voters get that?!?
The whole thing makes him seem like an out of touch egotist.
No kidding. He is so fake. The first words of his twitter description is Afghanistan veteran.

Mayor Pete is absolutely losing it. What a twitter meltdown.
So..........I went to his twitter feed. He tweeted a lot, I'll give you that. But what constitutes a meltdown? Seemed pretty tame to me. Maybe I'm missing something?

His attacks on Bernie being divisive.

I would assume it is probably a safe bet that these caucuses will not be happening when the next nomination process rolls around. It just seems like such a disaster. Nevada is still only reporting 50% of the results and Iowa is under some sort of recount. It just seems to poorly designed and executed. In terms of popular vote in Nevada it looks like Mayor Pete has moved ahead of Biden overnight. Biden still has more delegate votes though.

That's what logic would tell you, but this is Murica we're talking about. How many years have caucuses been happening? There's a good chance they will remain despite everything we've seen this year (and other years as well) because of "tradition" and good ol' American values. The Nevada caucuses had a very strong turnout this year at a whopping 4-5%. 4-5% of the people decided who would get their vote to be the nominee.
Does anybody think the current dictator is going to allow a fair election? This is a man who has a history of cheating the system to do whatever he wants. It doesn't matter who represents the Democrats, they can't win.
Things will be fine this time if the Democrats win, with some blundering about not leaving by Trump at worst. If Trump gets another 4 years though, Russia will move quickly to erode as much process as they can from American democracy and you'll likely see something major happen in 2024.

Not sure this is very fair.
Canadian parties operate using OMOV, so maybe 1% of Canadians choose to be eligible by joining a political party so they can select candidate(s) for Prime Minister, and less than that actually vote, I expect.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when the whole of the media turns on Sanders as Trump's been all about the media being an enemy of the people, don't trust them, etc. If Trump changes his tune because they're speaking in his favour, will that cause some of his base (those voting for him because he's anti-establishment) to start to question anything and potentially flip?

lol, is that in Twitter's TOS somewhere? Like, what are you even talking about? You can put "Afghanistan veteran" in your Twitter profile, but it can't be first? Seriously, W T F are you talking about here?

To me it's a judgement of character. Maybe I'm weird. If you have husband in there, it should be first, not third. Either 1st or leave it out.
Go look at Obama, Clinton, Kerry, Romney, Cruz, Kasich's twitter. They all say dad or husband first.

Being a veteran is easily one of the most important things a person can do. It speaks to his character and experience. What are you talking about here?
