If San Jose holds on and beats the Roadrunners (currently 4-3 early in the 3rd), the Heat will be in 1st place in the division.

edit: San Jose held on to beat Tucson, so Heat are first in Point% but still listed as 2nd on the AHL website as it is organized by total points and we are 1 point back with 2 games in hand.

Considering injuries and call ups, team is having a great regular season. Great to see much of the success is driven by actual prospects, not just AHL veterans

The team is dealing a few call ups going back to the start of the season as well.

They're currently missing Yelesin and Davidson on the back end. It's showing as there has been an uptick in goals against but the team is still scoring a lot.

Nice to see some prospects having decent seasons. Gawdin and Phillips have been basically ppg all year, and Ruzicka, Tuulola and Philip seem to be having standard rookie seasons of around .5 ppg.

I hope we add some defenseman in this next draft. We have basically nothing beyond Valimaki.

As a side note, Darcy Keumper was in net for Tucson, so good for the Heat for keeping with it and punching 4 times in the 3rd.

Doing well despite some key regulars being called up. Some of the youngsters have been able to fill the gap.

I really hope Tre is smart enough to paper Dubé and Kylington down for the deadline (I think neither needs waivers). Stockton deserves some bonus talent for their playoffs.

Yes, both are exempt, but generally the Flames don't paper guys down if they've been with the team all or almost all season; so I don't expect them too. I suspect we only see Yelesin & Davidson papered to the Heat, but I'd welcome Kylington & Dube.

Wow, good call

(Though hopefully they’ll be playing somewhere else in May)

CSEC fire the Heat's president.

Not sure of the reasoning, but could having a top club doing so poorly attendance-wise be a factor?

Rookies who have been very strong as of late: Tuulola, Ruzicka, Philp, Pospisil.

Nice to see.
