From what I remember, she craters late game.

Really liking what Ahri brings to the table - one of the few champs I feel that I can actually "fit" with.

Awesome kite skills if you solo mid or solo top (probably one of the top champs in the game for that), and her orb is pretty freaking good for clearing creeps. I know she got a fair amount of tourney play this weekend at IPL4 too, so some of the top ones are using her.

Lots of people using Dr Mundo too. Saw at least one of him jungling every single game.

I should also add - I have no clue how to jungle and what skills I should be using (some people say min lvl 20??) suggestions? I've tested out Lee Sin and Mundo, but I don't seem to have enough Health / Life Steal to start it off, just get beaten down hard by creatures at early level.

Jungling is actually far easier than it use to be. A lot of characters can jungle but what it comes down to is how fast a champ can clear a jungle and how effective they are at ganking. Lee Sin is a fantastic jungler but you absolutely need to be taking smite. You should put a couple points into the extra minion damage mastery in the offense tree and perhaps the one in the defense tree that reduces minion/monster damage. Once in game you may want to go for a Wriggles Lantern for your first item. It provides you with some life steal and a chance to deal extra damage to minions/monsters. You also get 1 free ward with it.

Start your jungle at blue because even though Sin doesn't use mana, the buff gives you cooldown on your abilities and I believe it helps with your energy. Get your team to leash it for you and use smite to kill blue first. Once you have that, head to wolves then wraiths and by then your smite should be back up. Hit the golems and use smite on the big one. Depending on your health you can either port back to base and buy some items or you can head back to wolves/wraiths or try for a gank. When you're fully healed you should be taking red buff once your smite returns. Always attack the bigger creep in the jungle first because when they're killed they give you a little bit of health.

Ahri is pretty awesome mid lane. I had some troubles against her when she first came out because she can fire off her abilities while still moving. I find the trick with her is that if she lands her charm she can do massive damage.

EDIT

I found a couple guides that you may find useful.

How does this game stack up against Heroes of Newerth?

I really hate the community in that game, but enjoy the majority of the characters.

I haven't played HoN but from what my buddies tell me, LoL has a much less toxic community and is easier to get into.

Heroes of Newerth is basically the second worst fanbase for any games. The worst is Defense of the Ancients (which is worse becasue you don't need to pay for an account). Until you get to level 30 and play ranked, most players are pretty understanding. You get some asinine players, but many are supportive.

Started playing this couple days ago. Shen is definitely the most overpowered champion as of now.. just watched a couple of videos on how to play him, ended up destroying in the 3 games I played with him.

Shen is very much a good tank support...he's a lane bully and can easily deny opponents breathing space if they're not careful. He plays a dominating game in lane, but needs a DPS or Nuke to maximize his abilities. Once you get to the more open stage of the game, you basically rely on shielding allies and hope you've done enough early game to weaken the opponent's abilities.

Personally I think Gangplank is overpowered...that powerful ranged attack and buff has always been of issue for me. A pure attack power Gangplank can cripple most champions 1v1 from afar while you really can't get a great lock on him since his heal removes crowd control. Easy to play jack of all trades with an amazing boost to all his abilities (better than before though...used to be a 34% boost when activated).

Or maybe it's just sour grapes that he is a good melee champion who can pressure ranged

Yeah I think Feint is the reason why Shen cannot be matched in a lane... the damage shield is so unfair 1v1.

His kit for early game is amazing. He can heal, poke, taunt, and shield...completely ideal substaining power for a support if your team is playing fairly fragile characters (and you're babysitting one).

I honestly don't feel that Shen is overpowered. He seems just about right to me. The only problem is when your stupid team mates decide to focus him in a team fight. But that goes for any tank.

As a Gangplank main I can tell you that the only reason people think he is OP is because most teams will completely ignore him in fights. He is pretty fragile and can be bursted down super quick. Sure he can eat oranges and be k but with a couple CC's he can be dead before he has the chance to do anything. From my experience, I will almost always build him as a glass cannon because the other team rarely targets me.

You can find an "x is OP" thread on the official forums for probably every champion. Any champ that is given the room to farm or get fed is going to steam roll a team. Of course, some champions just stack up better against others. For instance, I would never take a Yi or Tryn head on as GP.

This is why I will sometimes solo top as Garen. The guy completely wrecks faces against almost every champion in the early stages of the game. By level 2 I can usually kill a champion with full health outright in 2 abilities. His late game is not nearly as effective though.

Lee sin is fun too... hard to hit the Q sometimes though.

99.9% of draft games end up banning Shen. It isn't even funny. Maybe it is more perception than anything else, but he is the most banned Champ in the game.

I am sure perception plays a huge factor in that. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets routinely banned from the simple fact that his ult can save a team mate and/or reinforce a lane in a split second. I find Amumu to be a far more devestating tank especially if he's on a team with a lot of aoe and he manages to taunt 4 or 5 players.

That reminds me of a game I played once. At about 2 in the morning, my friends were screwing around in games, so we built a team of Amumu, Gangplank, Ziggs, Nunu, and Miss Fortune (AP build). Wasn't exactly an effective team, but every team fight had the humerous "escort Amumu to battle, mash ultimates" strategy. We also managed to once fire off a full powered Nunu ultimate! On one enemy .

If I can get my buddies on board, I'd love to try rolling an all tank team just for kicks. We'd almost certainly lose horribly but it would be funny.

Against pugs? You'd roll them bad.
