Default Travel within Portugal

I'm going to be in Portugal next month and need to travel from Lisbon to Porto. Originally, I was planning to take a train, but apparently there are rail strikes going on. I looked up a one way flight, and a discount flight (with only carry-on) on TAP is not much more than a train ticket.

Any comments or suggestions from anyone who has travelled there before? Thanks!

Flight is short and TAP is a good airline.

You could also rent a car or take a bus without issue.

The train strike is not affecting rides all day long, you can still get tickets for specified times.

I’ve taken planes, trains and automobiles while in Portugal. I’ve taken the train from Lisbon to Faro, the bus from faro into Spain and had a driving holiday from Lisbon to the Algarve, to the interior, to Galicia and Porto. The roads are amazing….double motorways throughout. Portuguese drivers are a bit aggressive but no worse than in Italy.

Rent a car one way and you’ll enjoy the drive. Take a bus like the locals. Enjoy the country.
