I tried Earl of Sandwich yesterday about 11:45- No Lineup but waited a bit to get a seat. I'm not sure what the hype is, decent sandwiches but not worth driving for- maybe it's different in the US?

It's great in Vegas, but not good enough for me to drive to South Calgary to get one.

I had a look at the website and some youtube reviews and it just looks like a squashed Quiznos, nothing special?
What's the best sandwich to order?
Maybe not worth driving to but South Trail crossing is really easy to bike to from anywhere in the city if you go down the Bow Valley Trail and out the pathway to the east from the park - or take the canal path.

Average in Vegas IMO. I assume the local option isn’t worth a wait.

Chipotle Chicken Avocado and the Holiday Turkey are both solid sandwiches but from my experience in the US all the sandwiches are good.

Late reply, but that title is going to this one in Burnaby.

I usually order the Italian. It's been a long time since I been to a Quiznos, but it's safe to say it's better than that. Though getting a good Vietnamese Sub is just as good, most likely better, and we have a lot of an options for that in Calgary.

Does anyone know which 5 new communities the city administration recommended for approval today? I found the 19 that requested it but couldn't find the appendix of the report that said which ones were actually recommended. I'm would think it's public information since it was presented to council?

It's in Attachment 5 on the agenda: https://pub-calgary.escribemeetings....umentId=211731

2. Belvedere West (Truman);
3. Ricardo Ranch Seton Ridge (Brookfield);
4. Ricardo Ranch Logan Landing (Genesis)
5. Ricardo Ranch Nostalgia (Jayman Telsec) In addition, there are three additional business cases that can be supported with acknowledgement or mitigation of associated risks, including servicing capacity:6. Rangeview Trafford (WestCreek);
7. Glacier Ridge Community C (Qualico) - partial
8. Glacier Ridge Community D Cabana (Brookfield) – partial

Would anyone else be embarrassed to say they live in "Ricardo Ranch Nostalgia" or is it just me. The more communities we build, the weirder the names get.

If we type 'Ricardo Ranch' enough do we risk Springs1 showing up?
William Crawley Ricardo's ranch goes back to 1888 so I assume that's just a working title for now. Pretty sure the names will be truncated into Seton Ridge, Logan Landing, and Nostalgia eventually
Looks like beautiful land down there - prime fly fishing if I recall correctl.y Bit of a shame it'll turn into the usual suburban development....
Here's a map of the development from 2019:

No, there is a pretty steep hill there, and the housing will be all at the top of the hill.
