So glad I faded golf today. That wind is some next level BS.

As a person that spent a lot of time in Southern Alberta I'm used to a lot of heavy winds but I don't remember Calgary being this windy as it's been like Lethbridge this year.

Speaking of weather, what's everyone's favourite day time temperatures per season? In celsius, obviously.

Fall 10 to 15 - still decent for late season golf and don't have to bring out the winter tires or snow scrapers yet, but feel all cozy at home in the evening with some heat as it drops closer to zero

Winter -5 to -15 with lots of snow - Give me a snowy, white winter with manageable temps for skiing, hockey, running and other outdoor activities. Don't hover around 0 or keep going back and forth. Slushy, brown crap when the weather bounces near zero is the worst

Spring 5 to 20 degrees - Pick a lane; Either stay cool and snowy or don't. None of this 10 degrees and a feeling of hope, followed by two weeks of -5 and snow.

Summer 20 to 27 - Nice and warm/hot, but not so hot that outdoor activities become sweaty and uncomfortable. Love that range.

Fall by a mile for me. Any precipitation takes the cake though. I love rain and snow.

Summer 35-40 and timber-smoked air?

Spring is my favorite season though because of the freshness and everything budding. It brings optimism with it. Basically May thru June. We're in the prime time right now. Also love long evenings!

Fall: 10-15 works for me.
Winter: -10 to +5
Spring 10-20
Summer 25-30, with a few low twenties and a few 30+ thrown in for some variety

Minimal snow and rain only overnight. No hail ever again!

If we're talking daytime highs
Fall +12 to +20
Winter -5 to +5
Spring +10 to +18
Summer +22 to +32

Ideally I should be living in a temperate mid to northern state but you couldn't pay me to live in the US these days.

I don't like anything under -10.

Fall and spring are transition times so it’s hard to state a temperature but in general:

Winter (November to February). 0 to -10
Spring (March to May) 10-20
Summer (June to August) 25-35, with August consistently above 30
Fall (September and October) 10-20

I don’t get caught up in temps, I just want extreme weather events. Whatever causes the most death, damage and destruction gets my vote. Whether that’s heat, cold, rain, hail, snow, floods, mudslides, tornadoes or hurricanes. I want it all.

Looks like my trip to Vegas this week is going to be a scorcher with daily highs of 41 and 42 each day. I've been to Vegas once when it was 45 and that was quite an experience. They are showing that 9pm should still be around 36.

What a beautiful day. 25 is perfect, just the right amount of heat hitting the body while still being able to run, golf, play sports etc. I wish we could have 3 weeks of 25 and sunny, with one week of cool and rain from May - September, that would be perfect.

Gross, unless you either in an air conditioned space, in water, or constantly being spritzed with those overhead misters, you are uncomfortable. Don't touch any dark surfaces, car door handles included.

It was 35 just outside side of Seattle today and it sucked balls.

But rain in June is not a bad thing generally.
Certainly looks possible in the Okanagan. Couldn't believe how green the hills were the last few weeks and how lush and long all the grasses were. Trails that were usually several feet wide and sandy were actually just narrow paths between long grasses and soft earth. So much fuel has been generated for grass fires, and it only takes a couple of days of scorching weather for the earth to be sandy again and everything growing in it to dry out like hay.

Hopefully we don't see more fires as a result. I spent time in September last year moving valuables out of my parents' place up there to safety and sitting up at night watching massive trees candlestick and explode on the ridge opposite their home. Would be great to have a year without facing that kind of concern again.

I remember playing golf at Summerlin when it hit 108 (about 42c) half way thru, I drank a few beers and about 10 bottles of water and didn't take a piss once!
