Seems pretty unique to me as well but then I think back to the long-before days where things were on TV and if you missed some episodes you just had to go with it. I could also get it if he was watching with some friends who had seen the first season, but to do it intentionally?
I think I would have assumed The Boys would be like Game of Thrones where each season will end with a major plot point.
Probably most sitcoms like Superstore, The Office, Brooklyn 99, Seinfeld, etc. could be watched from the middle but man would it have sucked to start The Good Place with the first episode of Season 2.
Also I recommend Superstore on Prime, way better than I expected it to be.

Yeah...that was pretty grim. I mean, fairly obvious....but still grim.

I recently watched the Borat sequel. There is some magic lost from the original but I was still entertained. The laughs are more hit and miss and the pacing is off with some dull moments. I did however appreciate there is actually a story this time with character development. My favourite laugh out loud moments were the COVID protest with the song about journalists and the running of the Americans at the end. 7/10.

I would say the new Borat is a better, more focused movie than the first, while not being quite as funny. It doesn’t have the same level of ridiculous cringe as the previous one, but it still has plenty of that.

That’s a hot take. I don’t think the second comes close to the first.

The second has more of a narrative. The first is more just the misadventures of Borat in America. It is funnier I agree. I did laugh at the new one though

Movie 43 is really bad. A gross out movie filled with A-list actors. Really inexplicable and sure to be on How Did This Get Made?

We watched the first two episodes of "James May Can't Cook.'
If watching James May awkwardly and drunkenly stumble around a Kitchen preparing dishes and making fun of Gordon Ramsey then this is the show for you!
We found it hilarious. James May is not a professional Chef and he knows it so hes basically just sarcastically preparing dishes. It was great.

It seems like James May is pretty much just doing anything and everything now.

He has the freedom.
If I'd earned my spot like James May has I'd be doing it too.
"Hey, I want to do a docu-series travelling around Japan can I...?"
Amazon: "Heres your enormous cheque Mr. May."
How awesome would it be to be a prized employee of Amazon? Where the phrase: "We're sorry, Mr. Bezos can't afford that right now" is likely never to be uttered, even in jest.

Oh wow there's even an accompanying cookbook.
I liked the Japan series, I'll definitely check this out.
Seems like half the celebrities out there did some sort of home cooking show. This is the only one I'd watch.

I hope 'The Grand Tour' is just building up to the point where Jeff Bezos is going to launch Hammond, Clarkson and May to the Moon.
Its all training right now.
Clarkson can farm, May can cook and Hammond....maybe the medic?
They can do a consumer review on Moon Buggies.

There is no way Clarkson could survive a trip to the moon.

Send gin with them and he'd figure it out haha.
His reaction when May pulled out a bottle on the arctic trip is an all time top gear moment

G&Ts in a Toyota while driving to the North Pole with Bobblehead Jesus. That was great.
Old Top Gear was awesome!

BBC already did James May: On the Moon where he did a review on a moon buggy, and went to 'the edge of space' in a U2 spy plane.
So actually going into space would be the logical next step.
