Well, he is also an Executive Producer on the show.

Homelander looked pretty scared of Soldier Boy. I wonder if that's why Noir appeared in the episode. HL called him in... the Maive thing was maybe just what HL promised him in exchange for his help with SB.

If The 7 is tye modern Payback, and Homelander is the modern Soiler Boy, Queen Maive is the modern Crimson Countess, etc

And Payback hated Soiler Boy but he was invincible; and The 7 hates Homelander but he is invincible

That would mean that Black Noir hated Soiler Boy, so wouldn't he also hate Homelander?

Or if Black Noir supports Homelander then wouldn't he still support Soiler Boy?

Is it the same Black Noir (thought crossed my mind d last episode as I know the comic book twist).

I don't see how Noir fits in this given the parallels and what we know.

Yeah I think it’s still possible that the comics twist remains intact.

But with all the A-Train stuff happening, it would fit into that as well if he was the original Noir.

Haven't actually read the comics but did accidentally stumble on the twist. Don't think it's happening because.....

Spoiler!

There's definitely something strange about BN being alive for so long though. My guess is that he was tinkered with somehow after his injury and may not be all there mentally.

We've also seen BN's skin already in season 2 and it's a consistent skin tone to his flashback.

Spoiler!

There is definitely some strange things going on with BN. He is injured back in the 1980s and doesn't regenerate. In the present he takes that suicide blast to the face, and regenerates right away. He also doesn't look like he's aged in the past 40 years.

I'm guessing that BN didn't heal because he was also affected by the same Russian weapon that took out Soldier Boy. That would mean that BN also regained his powers spontaneously or was given new powers by Vought.

I haven't even watched the episode yet and I'm a little afraid... What a viewer advisory...

SOME SCENES MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR SOME, REALLY MOST, LET'S BE HONEST
ALL VIEWERS. BUT REST ASSURED THAT ANY CONSENSUAL RELATIONSHIPS DEPICTED,
BE THEY HUMAN, ANIMAL, SUPERHERO, OR OTHER, AREN'T REAL, HARMED NO ONE,
AND IN FACT COST A HILARIOUSLY LARGE AMOUNT IN VISUAL EFFECTS.

WTF am I in for...?

EDIT: Not even a minute in and I'm laughing. This'll be fun.

Billy Butcher is the greatest thing Karl Urban has ever done! I love every scene he's in and this week turned it up a notch.

Y'know... I think this show is a bad influence. 'Cause that was a lot of ####ed up stuff, and... I'm not really phased by it.

My heart was literally pounding during the battle with Homelander. The last time I can remember a piece of media doing that was watching Alien for the first time. What a great scene. I was hating Huey on the V, but it was great watching him enter the big game.

I wouldn't say I'm desensitized to the violence. It definitely still bothers me and gives me a queezy feeling. Like A-Train taking away Gunpowder. In my head I'm hoping I don;t actually have to watch. I know what's goin to happen, I don't need to see it. But they show it anyways. But that's also part of why it's so great. The stakes feel real. Like literally anything can and will happen. I genuinely feel like every character is in danger all the time, even the main characters.

The title of this Youtube video might have you thinking it's content is related to the most recent episode.

But it's not.

Where is the rest of that interview? That was fantastic.

That may have been the best episode yet. They've really amped it up and we still have 2 more episodes this season. Me likey.

I'm totally with you. Any time the head-popping lady is on-screen, I will fast-forward to see if she pops anyone's head. I don't like jump-scares at the best of times, but to pop someone's head is just gross.

I did like the threat to Starlight though, and the little nosebleed that Starlight had after head-popper walked away.

This season has been so fun; Antony Starr deserves an Emmy

My only problem with episode 6 was that the Russian music starts playing exactly when it needs to for things to go horribly wrong, as predicted. That was a bit of lazy writing, I thought.
