I gotta tell my Peter Steele story.
Friend and I drive down to Biose, ID to see them during the "Life is Killing Me" tour. They were not playing any Canadian dates and we later found out this was due to Peter physically assaulting some guy who was with Peter's exgirlfriend.
Get to the venue early, my buddy who does not mind being a pain in the ass starts asking if any of the guys are around, talking to staff, looking for road crew etc. 10 mins later someone comes out and asks if we came from Canada and says Peter wants to see us.
He invites us to sit down backstage on some couches we we bull#### for almost 2 hours, he told us about working for the city of Brooklyn and how we really wanted to be a underwater welder/diver/bridge inspector, stories about their label at the time RoadRunner, songwriting, programmed drums, etc.
A couple times some girls came in to say hello and we basically got up and started leaving and saying goodbye, in that deep voice he told us to sit down and stay a bit.
Asked us what we did for work, genuinely curious about who we were, I was stunned by what a personable and incredibly friendly guy he was. What an insanely talented guy, what a personality and what a character. I'm still sad he's gone and I won't be able to buy a new Type O album on release day.

I really like him in "Magnolia". I actually thought he was on his last legs there; and that was 23 years ago.
Great actor. Long life. Rest in peace.

Yeah, I was going to say "he seemed 'old' for a long time now...". Kind of like Abe Vigoda being deceased was a running joke in the 1990s
(for those of you who don't know, Vigoda died only six years ago at the age of 94)

Not just old, but the same. Think "Bad Words" – he didn't look a day older in 2013 than he did in 1999.

this was an interesting tidbit.
Hall was married twice and had four daughters, Anna, Adella, Trisha and Darcy — two from his first marriage to Dianne Lewis and two with his second wife, Holly. He told the Washington Post in his 2017 interview that his kids ranged in age from 16 to 61. “This may not be a record, but it’s in the running,” he said.
Imagine being 45 years older than your sister?

Yeah, I believe fathering children after 60 should be outlawed.

It always blows me away that Christopher Lloyd is only 83, considering he looked pretty old in Back to the Future, which came out 37 years ago!

Except for the hair colour, he looks the same as in Taxi too.

Eh, a lot of people don't really realize Christopher Lloyd wore a lot of makeup in the 1985 scenes in Back to the Future:
It was one of the reasons why early in Back to the Future Part II Doc Brown is shown peeling a 'mask' off from the 'rejuvenation' work he'd had done; it was a plot device purely meant to allow Lloyd to forego the extra makeup.
By comparison Clue was also made in '85:
Here he is in Walk Like A Man, from 1987:

Manny Charlton, founding guitarist of the Scottish rock band Nazareth, has died, according to a Facebook post from his grandson. A cause of death was not given. Charlton was 80.

Damn. This is not a good year for actors portraying mobsters.
