UPDATE: Lululemon Reveals 2022 Olympic Outfits
Quote:
Lululemon will be the exclusive Olympics outfitter of Team Canada until at least the 2028 Games.
Under a deal announced Thursday with the the Canadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Paralympic Committee, the Vancouver-based athleisure giant will be the exclusive supplier of Olympic-branded athletic apparel for the next four Olympic Games

Not all of the HBC outfits were good (2020 Closing Ceremony denim jackets), but for the most part I liked what they had done. I’m interested to see what Lululemon puts together.

The forthcoming/inevitable Team Canada men's leggings will be cozy to wear around the house

i'd assume that this has been brewing for a while now as 4 months does not seem like enough time to design, manufacture and distribute gear to the team
i guess eh real question is, will the pants/hoodies be less than $150

Hoodies over $100...$50 tshirts. I have bought a ton of Olympic stuff going back to the Roots years, but I can't see ponying up for the Lulu stuff.

The kit was revealed today. I’m not a huge fan of the closing ceremony outfit, everything looks pretty comfy though.

Pretty sure they're wearing two coats in those pictures which is quite ridiculous. Individually, the articles are nice enough I suppose without feeling them or seeing them in person. In it's totality though, it's rather underwhelming. There isn't a single article that stands out. Maybe that was the point?
I like that the coat sleeves can be unzipped so you can wear it as a vest but I feel like that would make it not as warm in general.

As a total outfit that is awful. The layers, the puffiness, the lack of accent colors. Yikes

Really? I think the stuff looks awesome. I'd get it if I wasn't a cheapo and didn't want to pay the lululemon premium. The colours look great IMO.

This is probably one of thing that bugs me the most about the switch to Lululemon. They will be priced way higher than The Bay, and will price themselves outside of the range where people will actually buy it. Not a chance I'll be spending $80 on a t-shirt. I would think something being made for the Olympics, and trying to get as many people into the spirit of it, you'd price it reasonably so you can get it into as many hands as possible.

They don’t care, it’s a global marketing opportunity.

Have you been in a Lululemon store? They have absolutely no problem selling overpriced merch.
