Default Where to meet girls in Calgary (early 20s guys)

Hey, everyone!

I work at a warehouse from Monday to Friday, and I'm through using the apps, and it seems i don't hear a lot going on in Calgary much these days in the way of social events?

What's a good way to meet girls, and find ones to date, in Calgary on the weekends?

I'm just looking for suggestions, for anyone who might know.

I hope my question makes sense.

BTW: I'm not in school so, can't do that.

Thanks!

Meetup groups for whatever you happen to be interested in?

Just go out and do what you like to do, and try to strike up conversation with strangers.

Outside of apps, I don’t know that there’s a specific place to find someone to date. Just be out in the world.

Volunteer for events and meetup groups as mentioned above.

Whatever you are interested in, there is a group for it.

Learning languages is a good one, you get to know each other through the vulnerabilities of speaking unfiltered in a new language.

It's too bad the Cecil wasn't around, that was THE spot to meet that special someone.

You need to be somewhere with high traffic.

Hang out at the entrance to the female washroom at Chinook.

If the stand up comedians and dads are finished...

National is probably the best spot. Big social hall to move around in, two levels, has bowling. There's lots of attractive girls there every weekend. Probably my favourite spot in the city. Greta bar is new so that's giving it a boost, also a really good spot. If you have good conversation game those would be my two picks. If you're looking for places that are more danceflorr centered I'd say either cowboys or the Den at u of c, unfortunately the best nights for both of those places is Thursday though.

I've found that Volunteering and playing co-ed sports is a great way to meet people.

- Group divorce counseling.
- The basement of chicken on the way.

That's all I got.

I've heard that if you're steadily employed the place to meet all the single ladies is volunteering at the Food Bank or the Drop-in-Centre.

Hobbies have a threefold positive impact.
1. Gives you something to do.
2. Makes you more interesting for when you meet someone.
3. You meet people with similar interests.

For example, I have a friend who casually strikes up conversations at the climbing wall. Seems to work for him, mostly because if it doesn't work he is happy to climb. If it does it leads to low pressure first dates.

Thats just how I seal the deal!

However, it should be noted that I met my wife through Volunteering.

From my experience, attempting to meet women by posting on calgarypuck.com has not been very successful.

How do you make that work? There is very little time before and after class to make an impression.

Join some sports teams as a single. Leagues like CSSC have singles teams.

Get drunk and go to cowboys?
