I’m looking forward to more “this guy scored” images from the greasers this season.

I See Neal was a team high -3 in last nights loss to Vancouvers rookies. E=NG
Tippett was livid..I see him losing his hair this year.

It’ll have to be from the opposition goalie to top all of the previous ones.

That's a good shot, but he's off his angle. Leaving a lot of room on that side.

It's like he was baiting the player to go glove, and lo and behold.

The amount of space he leaves glove side is crazy, especially when you factor in our poor his glove is.

None of those guys have proven anything in the NHL. I guess if Broberg and Bouchard live up to draft position that will help. But Oilers haven't proven to be able to develop d-men at all.
And the very next day Benson, Jones, Marody, Samorukov are all sent down early in training camp after all being dressed for that 6-1 embarrassment last night.

Listening to Oil fans over the summer, they had Benson in the top 9.

Outside of endlessly refreshing this beautiful thread. I also get my warm fuzzies from laughing at the Oilers cap situation over at capfriendly. The amount of dead weight is hilarious. They have roughly 30 million tied up in Neal, Gagne, Chiasson, Russell, Manning, Koskinen, and buyouts. That’s 40% of their cap. For not one single replacement level player. The NDP could do a better job managing that budget(Jokes!).

Oh that's not fair!

I would happily take Chiasson back for the $800k we used to pay him.

Of course the Oilers are paying him $2.15M

During the rookie game, Stauffer was predicting that Benson would score 30+ points for the Oilers this year.

Doesn't even survive the first round of cuts.

So weird...

The Oilers used to post the ever-so-important "Pre Season Standings" and "Scoring Leaders" every year on their site. Nothing this year. I wonder why?

The real question is...who is wrong?

Was Stauffer correct that Benson is a prodigy but the Organization is a bunch of clowns who think they know better?

Or was Stauffer out to lunch and Benson is actually No Good?
