Far too busy for a logo on a uniform.
On the thumbnails, the colours seem to blend together into a sort of muddy russet with green splashes, and the design is too small to see. That wouldn't matter if this were artwork to display on a wall, where you can stand up close and admire the details. But I'm afraid that for people sitting 20 rows up at a hockey game, or watching on TV, it would look as bad as it does in the thumbnails.
It would look really cool if you blew it up about 10 feet high and installed it on a patch of plain wall in the Saddledome. For a uniform, not so much.

Honestly, every home game could have some sort of theme at this point. Never once crossed my mind that there would be a south Asian night. I guess now I'm thinking about looking into the south Asian hockey scene, so I guess that's something. I like the artwork but agree it would look bad in a game.

Not only is it racist, but its just kind of a dumb comment. It's a logo for a South Asian celebration night, and they seem to be complaining that the logo looks "Indian". It's literally a logo create by a person of Indian heritage to celebrate the region where India is located. Of course it's going to look Indian.

Flames are actually very late to these kind of theme nights. A lot of other teams (especially the Jets) have been doing them for years now.
