A few friends have the Pax and enjoy it. I found the mouthpieces weird compared to the IQ, which is what made up my mind.
That said,Co-op Cannabis on Macleod Trail south of Heritage Drive sells both the Pax 2 and Pax 3. Many of the reviews I've seen prefer the Pax 2, and it's somewhere in the neighbourhood of ~$100 cheaper, IIRC, so worth checking out.

When are we getting the oil pens? That's what I'm interested in.

Legally....not until 2019. You can currently buy vapes that allow you to fill your own cartridge with oil or resin but you would need a method to convert your dried cannabis into oil or resin. Best way legally is a hydraulic press with heat as no solvents are used.

16 stores in Calgary now approved by the AGLC: https://calgaryherald.com/cannabis/c...ation-near-you
Still not one in the NW. More stores approved between Heritage Drive and Anderson Road from Elbow to Macleod than the entire north half of the city.

I don't really have anything to compare to other than using a Pax 2 at one point that didn't seem to work at all for me.
It's fast to heat up, looks awesome, tons of control from heat to air/vapour mixture, etc.
It's a pain to have to stir a lot.

On that note, I need to replace the whip on our Herbalaire vape. What am I looking for exactly? I can get the dimensions off the current whip and noted that it says "non toxic". Is this something I can walk into Lowes and buy?

Honestly? I’d order another whip from Herbalaire either direct or through an established retailer. Anything you’d be able to cobble together from parts would need to be food safe and high temperature. I’m pretty sure Lowe’s doesn’t sell anything with a health guarantee.

Any updates on store openings and experiences with them?
***
Noticed Leafly is a great resource on various strains/products, including information on terpenes and such. Maybe just taking time to update, but it seems a lot of the products available here are not yet found on Leafly. My question is does each company make up their own names for similar products/strains or is the naming system kind of universal?

The strain names on Leafly are correct and most match with what the Canadian producers have, however, many of them are renaming them with their own names to create branding opportunities. Some companies like Aurora will list their own name with the strain name in brackets underneath. Any decent budtender should be able to tell you what the actual strains are.

I have the Sutra Mini and it is fantastic. ~$200
Small, Discrete, LCD screen with full temp control, and can haul.
Only downsides are the battery life, which would only be bad if you plan on hauling on it all day otherwise it can last a few days if you are using it only 1 or 2 times a day. Camber size could be a bit bigger but its not that big of a deal.

Really enjoying a 5% THC 7% CBD mix ("campfire" from canna cabana), never had a chance to have both in the same strain before. Thought it would be weak due to low numbers, but it vapes like a champ and has a less "stoney" more "chill" high. Might have to mainline it for a month, curious to see if the CBD makes my muscles / joints feel any different.

If you ever get a chance use Warlock CBD, it has even ratio of both at around 12% to 10%.
