Totally baffling decision imo, Cracknell isn't even good enough to stick in the AHL right now- and was mediocre on the worst team in the KHL (flames LEGEND Spencer Foo outscored him.)

Waste of a contract for a team bound to be spinning their tires again!

According to their recruitment video, anything within about 1000 miles still counts as Edmonton. So yeah they have beautiful mountains and lakes right there! I'm surprised they didn't include the ocean/resorts/scuba diving/etc. in that video.

I saw a post from The Hockey Writers on Facebook today discussing possible trade partners for Columbus. Yesterday was Calgary, today is Edmonton. Had a good laugh at some of the comments on the post but I just couldn't not share this one:

Upgrade the wingers. Give RNH his own line so you have a 1a, 1b and 1c line.
I sure love those meatheads in Edmonton; always good for a laugh.

Its funny to me after the way they sold it that not one player will have touched or seen mountain over their time in edmonton.

Shamelessly peddling and living lies for decades up there. NG

No doubt a $6.0 m 30-point Ryan Nugent-Hopkins would be very popular in Edmonton.

Calgary has had the following iconic films shot here capturing the beauty of the city and surround area: Superman: The Movie, Interstellar, Brokeback Mountain, Inception, Jumanji 3, Revenant, the list goes on and on.

Edmonton has this movie that showcases hmmm their mall I guess?

Wasn’t Revenant shot in Edmonton? I remember Dicaprio saying something ridiculous like he thought Edmonton had the most beautiful women in the world or something like that.

That actually depressed the crap out of me, it was one of the last movies that Patrick Swayze was in.

This was also in the middle stages of Tim Curray's I need to pay the government back for tax evasion so I'll do anything phase

I was thinking the same thing. Fortunately, Swayze got in one last feature film after that.

And Tim Curry sure did a lot of crap in those years.

This film is about the Oilers top-down organizational structure right down to their media personalities.
