Tough to blame Lance for a terrible strategy call for Alonso, even without the 2nd safety car he probably finishes in the same position after they put him on softs.

Piastri did nothing for Lando getting P2. The "rear-gunner" hasn't really been a factor yet in 2024.

Great racing this weekend throughout the field. Shanghai is an awesome track. Saturday was one of the better sprint races I've seen.
It's not China GP specific. It's the overall performance. Alonso gets more put of the same car and has regularly spanked Stroll in points since coming onboard to AM.

I'm talking more about the fact the car is good enough for the 2nd driver to be finishing in point with far more regularity then what Stroll has provided.

It's either he's not good enough or bad luck has snakebitten him. AM is a good car. It needs a better driver.

For what it’s worth Alonso recently said that stroll is better at giving feedback than he is because sometimes he just drives around the problems with the car.

Results from the China GP are in!

Congrats this week goes out to TimSJ & fleuryisgod for both getting 5 correctly slotted and 9 Top 10 picks right. Both finished with 29pts. Agulati was 3rd with 3 & 10 respectively for 22pts.

Overall, no change in top spot as 3thirty maintains first but with only a 4pt lead over TimSJ who jumps from P5 into P2.

3thirty & agulati that was your first missed picks this season.

Next up is Miami in 2 weeks!

Spoiler!

So that Ferrari is gonna look like a BMW Sauber? Do not like. Maybe if they follow the pastel theme of Miami it could look cool...but it's Ferrari and they probably screwed up the marketing strategy.

Oh wow, that I havent seen. The Verstappen coup may have worked, but killed the team if they both leave.

I expected a Sainz/Hulk lineup at Sauder(Audi) next year but this Red Bull thing could change that. If Max leaves Red Bull then who knows.

Audi might be the the snake in the grass here. But I still think AM is going full court press to be the top car starting in 26 so Newey and Sainz to AM might be the coup d'etat.

Just don't be boring and go to Ferrari.

Lance can go play tennis and AM can get a real driver to replace him. Everyone wins.

Expect those who make memes about Lance.

30 years ago today Rubens Barrichello crashed during Friday practice of the 1994 San Marino GP. Later in the weekend Roland Ratzenberger would be killed during qualifying and then Ayton Senna would be killed during the race.

It was the darkest weekend in F1 history.

It's a miracle Reubens wasn't hurt in his crash.

Dark days indeed. I watched that race live as a teenager. That was the saddest I've ever been about a sports hero.

I might watch the Senna documentary again. Watch the master work the car like no other could.

I always wondered how much better Senna would be in the flappy paddle gearbox era. Such a shame we never got to witness Schumacher Vs. Senna.
