Once again the worst alderman is Diane Colley-Urquhart.
Shocking.

How can someone be the best and worst alderman? You can really tell who FFWDs readers are, hopefully their lattes didnt get cold while they came up with this list.

Came for snarky attitude about list rankings, left satisfied.
Also waiting for hipster bashing, as it is inevitable for an urban Calgary lifestyle magazine.

My fake, over sized eye glasses just exploded from hipster overload reading that list and now I am blind.
Thank you very much, horrible magazine and their readers.
Also the Ship is awful in every way and HiFi is the size of a guest washroom in a doll house.

Why not post both?
Also, anyone who has Jebb Fink listed in anything but "Biggest #######" has obviously never seen him do standup. God the dude is terrible.

I always find it funny when people get angry at an urban-oriented magazine for having urban/liberal leaning content. Who do you think reads and responds to these polls, Wildrose voters?
Coincidentally, I'm going to the #2 film-makers bachelor party next week. I guess FFWD hasn't heard that he is based mostly out of Montreal now.

I settle for FFwd. I have longed for a southern burbs magazine that ranks the stores in the Avenida mall and suggests things to do while waiting to turn left at a massive intersection on MacLeod Tr, but I guess there isn't enough interest in that kind of magazine yet.

Then why have a poll? They all like the same goddamn things unless they ironically vote for something else.

Because it's popular with their regular readership, and controversial enough to get mentioned in places they otherwise wouldn't (this forum, for example).
I'll never understand why people get worked up over opinion polls.

It just continues to shock me that Higher Ground is on the list of "best coffee houses", in all my years in Calgary I just can't figure out why that place is so popular. The food/coffee is average, it's impossible to find a seat & the staff arean't particularly friendly either.
I mean it's not a bad coffee house, but it's just not great either, and yet every year, there it is.
