I had to look. He's "only" 34. For some reason I thought he was older than that.
For the right price I guess I'd be ok with it, but I think others will have more interest than we would (should).

I'd take a chance on Perry for the right price. Big, right shooting winger that isn't that far removed from being really good. If he can get/stay healthy I think he can be effective. And if it's a cheap shorter term deal there's pretty minimal risk.

My prediction, the guy is gonna work the system like Vinny LeCavalier did and make out like a bandit. He's going to have a bounce back season, only for some idiot GM to sign him to another multi year deal after this season, and he's bought out again 2 years later.

1 year at league minimum is all I'd be willing to give him. He's old, slow and very injury prone.

Help, save, whatever.

Bring him home.
Perry and Kadri would be a thing I would like to watch when the Bruins are in town.
Mr. Marchand you have some fellow rats to play with.

Lecavalier and his buddy Brad Richards are definitely the current buy out champs but I have a feeling they won't be for long.

No more signing former good players who might be good again. At any cost.
Find up and coming talent and don't clog the way for that.

34 years olds are not fourth liners, agitators, or energy players.

Perry was beyond useless and a detriment last year.

Perry was injured for most of last year. I'm not advocating for signing him but I think some team could do well to give him a 2x$2.5-type deal. Similar to Eric Staal's deal a couple years ago.

It's the nature of his injuries that is the issue for me.
Significant knee injuries in his last 3-4 years.
He was slow before the knee injury in 2018, last year he was set in molasses it seemed.

Corey Perry's skating makes James Neal look like McDavid.

I liked Owen Nolan with the Flames.
If Treliving could get Perry to sign for that type of value contract, I would not be upset at all.

Anything over 1 year is a huge risk. You have to see how he plays next year before committing beyond that, especially if you're paying him anywhere north of 3M.
