I mean, Snoop (as a DJ), Lil Nas X and Juice WRLD are all pretty decent acts.

Snoop is in the casino..

The others will likely sell out and thats all that really matters.

If I could handle spending a whole night there i'd probably go see Zedd.

I saw Juice WRLD at Coachella and while I do mostly like edm, it was a terrible performance and only 1 person I was with liked it

As someone also into Electronic music colour me a bit underwhelmed with the bookings so far. Can't really blame them though since they most likely couldn't pull the trigger till they got the approvals. I'll be at the Knoxvilles Tent for some of the concerts

Wow that’s a good lineup.

Tiesto is a big get IMO. I saw him play at Rock city in grande prairie. Was a great show and he played for 4 hours but my biggest memory was being one of 6 people there to watch the opener... Hardwell. Was a great time. Brought us all up on stage and everything.

They can manage.
As someone who bought in those towers, I completely expected to be surrounded by craziness for 10 days in July. I was also hoping to be surrounded by craziness for 2 months of NHL playoffs from time to time too, but alas, one cannot see the future perfectly.
Anyway, I never ended up living there but would hope that those who did wouldn't suddenly expect everyone around them to give them silence after 9 pm, especially during Stampede.

Yea you'd figure that the people who want to be close to the action (like living on 17th) are ok when there's action.

So, FYI, today is actually the last day to file appeals and the appeal hearing will be next Thursday.

I drove past it today - the roof is on and the walls are getting done already. Huge Cowboys sign at the top too. I wonder if the SDAB will bump it up their docket to make sure its heard on Thursday. As I recall they only meet bi-weekly and often the newer cases are at the bottom of the list and get bumped to the next meeting.

Well if it gets bumped to the thursday of Stampede I don't think Cowboys will complain...

DJ Pauly D strikes me as someone who....if you saw them get hit by a car you wouldnt even slow down.

Jersey Shore shenanigans aside, I don't really listen to a lot of EDM, but is Pauly D actually good? He seems to tour a lot and get a decent amount of headline shows, which for a D-list celebrity vanity project seems unlikely unless he has actual talent.

EDIT: Eh only 38k monthlies on Spotify. Maybe he just has a really good agent.

Honestly, in an instance like this he won't play any of his "own" songs. He could even press play on a pre-recorded sets with a bunch of good tracks and people would have an absolute blast. Would never pay to see him but some people would

That's pretty much what any DJ does at a live show....press play. The dial turns and all the jazz are absolutely just for show. May as well just plug in somebody's ipod to the album version.

I used to think this and am not into this style of music but after watching the Avicci documentary, I realized how much more there was to it.
