Puljujarvi May just need a fresh start.

If the Flames move Lindholm to centre then a Jankowski for Puljujarvi type swap really helps potentially fill a huge hole.
Lindholm produced fairly well, not first line numbers, but not bad, wince his draft. And he showed some really good flashes of creativity as well, if you look back at highlight packages. Plus he did have the ability to play C as you've noted. Puljujarvi has none of those. I actually question either his IQ or desire to learn, given his English issues.

Czarnik had a lot of interest last summer with the theory being that with an opportunity on a different club he would do something
A year has passed and for the most part he did not.
There is more data available now that would suggest he's not an full time NHL player but more of a tweener.
I think his value is next to nothing. He could get claimed on waivers, but I don't see him being of legit interest in any trade scenario.

To VGK: Austin Czarnik
To CGY: Ryan Reaves

If the Vegas is in fact just looking to drop Reaves' cap-hit, and the Flames still have interest. Vegas could then waive/buyout Czarnik (you could hide Czarnik's contract almost entirely in the AHL), which would be cheaper/easier than hiding Reaves' contract somewhere.

...if the Flames still want him.

He looked miles better than Neal who by insider accounts may have some value left, and doesn’t come with the poisonous contract.

He may not get much more than some AHL depth but Treliving seems to be good for one of those swaps every year. Kulak, Granlund, Shinkaruk etc.

I'm certain they do.

Some perceive Neal to have value left, not because of how he performed last year, but because of the consistency he had prior to that, and low SP%. If you were to value him on last year a lone, he has substantial negative value.
So it is an odd comparison to try to make.

Austin Czarnik has yet to show, at any point, that he can be an effective regular NHL player. Neal has.

Czarnik also had a reasonable SP% while Neal fell through the basement. Czarnik simply didn't generate enough chances and offers very little elsewhere.

So how did he look miles better than Neal?

Wouldn’t they try Reaves on waivers first? Why would they want Czarnik back unless it’s the Flames who want to offload his contract.

5-5.5m per season.

Edler will retire a Canuck, now it seems like Tanev is on the way out.

that modified NMC probs means he is willing to waive in the expansion draft.

Will be hilarious to see Canuck fans reactions when Tanev fetches a 2nd at best after saying it would take a top tier prospect to land him or a high 1st.

The Oilers will be looking for someone cheap that might have the ability to catch fire. Not an easy task to find such a player.
