It’s like curling. The losers still get a chance to play their way back in.

They’re ESPN broadcasts in the States, so I would imagine it will be one of the TSN channels for us here

TSN4 starting at 11 am. Probably going to have some overlap and miss the start of Dodgers-Rockies.

My kids get home from school at 3 and it's tradition with my son to watch the playoffs after homework is done. Can't wait.

I do love this time of year!

Go Brewers and Rockies. Would love to see a Cubs vs. Dodgers elimination game.

MLB is interesting because they have both the best and the worst possible playoff format.

Small number of teams is great, makes regular season so important. 1 game playoff for tiebreaks like division is really cool. No other sport can really do that given the physical effects.

On the other hand the 1 game wild card after a 162 game regular season is one of the stupidest things in the history of sports. It's one thing to do a play in out of necessity but to make an actual playoff "series" a 1 game play in just the worst.

That and the daytime playoff games. There's no excuse for that kind of stupidity, I don't care what the reasoning is.

I completely agree.

A one game playoff just gives such an advantage to the underdog it's not fair. Especially after slogging it out over 162 games.

In my perfect world:

Wildcard series is 3 games long. The team with the better record gets all three games played at home.

Both Division Series are 7 games long.

Everyone wins! Owners get to sell more tickets, MLB broadcasters get more viewers, we as fans get more agonizing playoff baseball!

That sounds nice on paper, however any team located north of the mason-dixon line will need a domed stadium to play a mid-late-November World Series!

I’m happy for the Brewers, they’ve been a fun team to watch all season

Wow. Dahl must be breathing a huge sigh of relief there. What a massive error on his part to put two on base. Only to have Rizzo hit into a double play in the next at bat and end the inning.

That review was....ummm....an odd decision.

Looked like he was safe and not even that close.

Looked like he was clearly safe. Were those really the only two angles we had? The one with Baez blocking the view and the other view that was about 300 feet away?

That was the wrong call.

Hate watching night games from wrigley. Fix the lights. I am positive ive played slo pitch night games with better lighting.
