With the range we’re picking in, one or two spots up or down doesn’t really matter. What matters is that guys like Coronato, wolf, Zary, Pospisil, solo are getting solid minutes to contribute

The trouble is, you don't get to be a professional athlete unless you take the attitude that every game matters.
The Sharks aren't trying to lose. They're just legitimately bad. The Flames are also bad, but at the moment, not quite as bad as the Sharks.

I'm just pissed that we lose 6-3 to them when we were fighting for a playoff spot, and then pull out the good ol' character OT win against them when we've already been eliminated.
The 6-3 loss hurt us, and the 3-2 win also hurts us.

Wolf looked pretty good and the Flames dominated after the 0-2 goal.
That's the first game in a long time I noticed Mangiapane looking skilled. The time off seemed to do him some good.
Solovyov looked pretty decent. Okhotiuk has some skill issues compared to the rest of the Flames D. Not sure he's the right fit here but he probably has some more development runway left so who knows.
The powerplay was a key factor yet again. Is it a late season illusion or have the players finally figured this thing out? Next season should have the same personnel so maybe Savard has saved his job? It looks a lot better now.
Good win. Don't think it's accurate to criticize that win for being in OT. Sharks were schooled for the majority of the game

Can't control any of it, so let the chips fall where they may. They have already surpassed what I expected in terms of tanking, and a win still feels good.

Don't be sad team tankers. There's still hope.

Okhotiuk is 6 months younger than Solovyov and 19 months younger than Pachal. He is still basically a prospect.
I thought he was trying really hard tonight and showed some energy.

Our new PP personnel is rocking it. And good news is that all those guys are back next year. So let’s start the PP off just like we are doing now with Kuzmenko and Sharangovich, Kadri, and Huberdeau. Skill and creativity.

Being at the game I'm surprised that Kuzmenko was the first star he didn't look that strong much of the game, I know he had the OT winner but didn't do much past that. The intensity level wasn't there for obvious reasons though and both teams were sort of going through the motions.
The Sharks barely had a shot in the second half of the game.

How did Zary look at center again? Couldn’t watch the whole game.

It doesn't matter where the Flames finish, they're winning the damn lottery.

I don’t think he should be with the big club TBH. I’d rather have Gilbert in.

I believe he's ineligible for the AHL playoffs. No point waiving the guy just to play the last four games of the Wranglers' regular season.

Pretty well resigned to drafting 8th. Needed to lose out to move up.
Every good game/result for Wolf is a win. More positive reinforcement for him at the NHL level to use and build off of.
Kuzmenko is awesome. Whether he's playing for his future on a contract with another team or potentially as a Flame longer term, either is a win for the flames who will benefit in any case.

I have a hard time watching them run out the string.
The games definitely have the feeling of just going through the motions.
I think we're locked into 8th overall. I'm good with it. It's no 1st overall or 2nd overall when you get the prized prospect or the pick of the litter of the rest, but I like what's in the top ten an will be happy with any of em.
