Did anyone else make it out to the event at the CORE today for the Calgary tennis tournament announcement?
Ivo Karlovic is going to be coming back to defend his title, besides him and Vasek not too many known names confirmed to be coming.
I think Brayden Schnur has committed to the Calgary event (not a big name unless you really follow tennis, but a fellow Canadian to root for). I wonder if fellow Canadians Steven Diez and Peter Polansky will also be coming to Calgary).

Here's the full field:
Spoiler!
The highest-ranked player is Dominik Koepfer. There are fewer Canadians than I expected.

There will likely be a few more Canadians added through qualifying. It is strange that Polansky isn't playing, unless of course he's injured. Ito, Koepfer, Pospisil, Schnur, Soeda and Karlovic are all pretty solid players and definite top 100 calibre players.
I was hoping we'd see a few more guys like Hyeon Chung, Dennis Novak and Alex Bolt, but I'm sure it will be a great event nonetheless.

That's a tough opening round loss for Brayden Schnur at the New York Open as he made the final a year ago and is going to drop some big time points. I think he's just inside the top 120 currently and this loss to Dominik Koepfer could drop him to around 180 or so.
/Milos is also playing at the New York Open (seeded #2)

Really excited to see Koepfer, watched a lot of the US open and he was great until he ran into Medvedev.
