72 points in the first half ...... and KD only has 7 points. That is how scary and deep that team is.

Does the NBA not reseed after the first round? We could technically avoid the Cavs in the second round if the Bulls beat the Celtics.

Nope, NBA uses brackets.

As a casual NBA fan just watching the raps in the playoffs, its weird to think they have a pretty damn good team, but essentially no chance of winning a championship with this roster, ever
NBA has such small pool of teams that can win, seems like a formality

Golden State is a ridiculous, freak team that should dominate for the next five years, but beyond that the competitive balance is pretty-much what it should be; there's lots of rising and falling in the next tier of the league, and the luxury tax repeater rate is going to make it tougher for super-teams to stay together over the long-term.
Cleveland, for example: they'll be the first team to hit the repeater rate tax this season, and it's going to result in them paying crazy taxes to keep their team together; retaining Kyle Korver for, say, $10 million a season could cost them an additional $40 million in taxes. They apparently lost money last season even with a championship run, so getting knocked out earlier than the finals this year could be enough to make Dan Gilbert flinch and blow up the team.
We'll see how it works, but this is when the competitive balance approach of the previous CBA negotiation finally kicks in.

Great first half, fantastic defense for that whole half other than on Giannis in the first couple minutes.

It'll be very disappointing if they don't close this out tonight after that half.

Well they have certainly started the half with the intention of finishing this series. Keep it up, no let off.

Even by NBA standards the officiating in the fourth was abysmal. I know we all hate when the offense goes mostly iso ball, but tonight showed that it's not like there's a choice sometimes. Guys just standing around, no movement without the ball during that drought unlike when they were rolling. Nevertheless it is done and now they should have no issue being completely motivated for the next series.

Well... for this franchise, coming out in a game 6 on the road, weathering the initial storm, then dominating the next 2.5 quarters by 30 points is a big step. Closing out a tough opponent on the road by making stops, getting key stops, that's a big step. Not being able to hold a big lead... that's an ongoing problem. Fortunately it's unlikely to come up next round!
So we go from playing one of the hottest defensive teams to one of the hottest offensive teams. Scoring shouldn't be a problem, but containing James and limiting the 3 point attack is key.

Good old NBA scheduling fun, Cavs and Raps both finished their series before Wizards and Celtics, Wizards and Celtics play tomorrow in game one before the Cavs and Raps, and that game one of round two takes place before Clippers-Jazz game seven of round one. Ok then. Anyway predictions for round two.
Cavs in 7
Celtics in 6
Warriors in 4 versus Clips; in 6 versus Jazz
Spurs in 6

Well we were starting to mount a little comeback there within Derozan on the bench. Put him back in and back to #### again. Shoooting 40 shots a night against garbage like the Bucks might work. Not going to work against a true contender.
Wasn't Ibaka brought here to toughen us up and improve our glass and play? He's been very diapppointing since he came Over in my mind, but He looks like he's scared out there to work but

That was expected. I mean come on you know we all thought they would lose this game. They are never properly prepared to start a series and in this one they are outmatched talent wise. Double whammy.
After that one the question is can they take one at home?

LeBron acting like a clown on the sideline and at one point even pretending to Drink a Pepsi from a vendor before taking his two shots shows how little
Respect the Cavs have for the Raps. They gave first to Boston on purpose just to get this matchup. If anyone of the Raptors had a pulse outside of Tucker, tonight would Have been a great opportunity to throw an "accidental" elbow to set some tone late.
