Default PC Build Critique...

My son is looking to build a personal / gaming pc and has selected the following setup:

I know a little about computers but if someone could critique the selections I would be grateful.

Cheers.

Pretty good for a sub-$500 budget build, but there really isn't much "gaming" to be done on a $23 video card, unless you just want to run Facebook games and maybe games from 2006 on Medium.

An R7 260X ($119) would be roughly 8x-10x faster.

Also, NVIDIAs 8xx series is due to premiere next month, so the 7xx cards will drop about 30% in price by then.
