It was terrible defensive playcalling, but credit Brees for perfect execution. Didn't panic and waste the timeout on one of the first two plays because it was close enough to spike.

Last NFL Monday nighter on a baseball dirt? My guess is yes.
Trying to recall the other grass stadiums (old turf stadiums like 3 Rivers and Cincy and Kingdome covered up the dirt around the bases) that did baseball and NFL.
Rams when they played in Anaheim, Chargers at Jack Murphy.

Is this the last year we'll get to see a baseball infield on an nfl field? It always shocks me the richest league in sports has allowed it this long, but I'll kind of miss it.

I think a player can give himself up.

Vegas stadium looks pretty cool, real grass on a tray that slides in and out of the stadium so they can grow it properly. Certainly no baseball dirt

Saints defence was terrible. Brees better score 50+ in every playoff game.

What would it take to get Elway fired?

How do they miss such a blatant facemask there?

Carr looks pretty good tonight.
I still think he can be a good QB with a good o-line and weapons around him.

What are the odds of scoring on 4th and goal from the 8? Feel like the FG is probably actually the right call there when there is still 9 minutes left in the third quarter.

Yep.
I believe that's Crennel calling those plays, not O'Brien. I'm no O'Brien fan but he had his team ready to play in an awfully tough environment. Might be a good season for the Texans.

We'll see. I think the analytics there would say to go for it.

Maybe, but still don’t think it’s pathetic in that scenario.
The team had a 0 on the score board, still lots of time left, and it’s probably a huge lift for Denver if they stop you on 4th down there.
Instead they had a little momentum generated after that drive and then it’s carried over to this drive now.
Edit: Going for it on 4th and 5 there might make sense since you still have the chance to get a first and don’t need to get in the end zone. But they want to make it a 1 score game.

I don't think analytics would say go for it there, 4th and 8 with the boundary fully in play has to be a low percentage play, maybe 1 in 6.
