When will ticket info be released for this? I'm already planning on coming up from D.C. for the game.

My son and I made a special trip “home” for the Heritage Classic at McMahon and still talk about how much fun we had in the cold. It was an awesome experience.

But man, I don’t like Regina much. Might just be catching this one on the tube.

This game will be poorly attended.

If by poorly attended, you mean guaranteed to sell out, then you are correct!

Have you been to Regina in late November/early December?

In October, the average high in Regina is 11°C, the average low is -2°C and the mean is 5°C. In November, the average high is 1°C, the average low is -10°C and the mean is -5°C. In December, the average high is -6°C, the average low is -18°C, and the means is -12°C.

October is the best chance that the weather will be reasonably comfortable for all involved.

So what ratio of the crowd will be sporting green jerseys? Since reginanians tend to forget what sport they're watching.

This one is going to be interesting. Presumably, some number of tickets will be made available to Flames STHs, Jets STHs and Riders STHs. And that would likley have to be lottery or first come first served. Who knows how many tickets would be made available for general purchase.

It's the first regular season NHL game held in Sask since...ever? This thing would sell out if it was hurricanes vs panthers. Toss in two good young teams with both of the cities within a days drive and this thing will sell out no problem at all

This is generally for people in Regina, so it should be well attended no matter what. Considering these games have been hosted in November and February, I don't think those temperatures would be much of a turn off.

The Calgary one was rough to sit through. Alumni game too. I’m from Calgary and used to the weather AND was well dressed and it still was cold enough to take away from the game experience.

Not sure what the temp was but with the same conditions I probably wouldn’t go again now that it is something I’ve experienced once.

So if the Jets are hosting and losing a home game in Winnipeg, does that mean they get all the revenue?

Cowboys jersey first period, Centennials second, Wranglers third. Get some more mileage out of the Hitmen jerseys.

Joking aside, the Calgary Tigers were a stretch, but the Calgary Stampeders would be next major hockey team on the docket as far as timing history goes.

And how delicious would it be for the Sask fans to have to cheer for a Winnipeg team or the Flames wearing Stampeders on thier chest?

League takes the bulk of the revenue for these outdoor games I believe

Back in the early 90s, the NHL held neutral-site games for a couple of seasons. Saskatoon hosted 6 in total (4 in 1992-93 and 2 in 1993-94).
