Alberta Party at 73%, followed by the Libs, then a big drop off to the NDP, and a bigger drop off to the UCP and Freedom Conservatives.
So basically telling me what I already know

You can also Weigh Your Results afterwards to put more/less importance on each category, might help some results.

I'm 74% AP. Way north of them, and maybe a hair to the west.
It's funny that if this thread is any indication the Alberta Party should win in a walk. They might get... three seats?

I'm about halfway between the Alberta Party and Liberal Party.

Which three would they win though? I'm not sure they hang on to Clarks at this point, and Mandel isn't a sure thing by any stretch. Who else is left?
(I think that campaigns definitely matter, so maybe a few weeks from now this post doesn't age well!)

I think it shows how far our political spectrum preconceptions are removed from realities in an NDP/UCP horse race.
That, or people (Albertans, perhaps) have forgotten how centrist we actually are by nature. Which is to say, there is a party that captures that centrist position quite well.

Strange the the NDP and Liberal parties in Alberta mirror each other so much. I don't think the answers in this questionnaire would get the same results in any other province.

When David Swann has been your leader, you're going to be a pretty left-leaning liberal party. He would be a very natural fit with Notley's NDP. There really is no reason for them to exist at all. Actually, I suspect they won't after this election.

I'm not sure what's worse, that he's somehow far left of the NDP and Liberals economically, or that he appears to have taken a photograph of his screen with his cell phone.

Is there any purpose to the "no new pipelines should be built in Alberta" question when the 'official' position of all five included parties is "strongly disagree"?

I'd guess it's meant to situate you relative to those parties. Presumably if you agree with that statement you'll end up to left of them economically?
I dunno, I'm always skeptical of these vote compass things, but this one seems pretty well done given the inherent restrictions of the format.

found a piece backing up what you say about Clark.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmon...tics-1.4416559
bring back shantz. you've involved with the party.
do you believe there is any truth to this? or did clark quit purely for the higher profile a leadership race would bring to the party.
I remember at the time not liking mandel winning the leadership race.
I didn't think a tired old man should be leading the party. I thought they needed someone younger with fresh ideas.

Does anyone actually believe the "higher profile" argument?
