Which Final Jeopardy question did he get wrong? I assume it didn't end up costing him the game.

It doesn't surprise me that I continue to struggle in those categories. It's always the same when I watch it live. Then I get a few right in a row and my wife tells me I should apply for the show. I usually respond by rolling my eyes at that suggestion.
We're all geniuses in our living room, but doing it live with the pressure on is harder than it looks. I have crazy amounts of respect for those who are gifted enough to win this once, let alone for weeks on end.

It was an early episode, I can't remember what it was though.

He was uncatchable going into Final Jeopardy.

But she doesn't even have a motor in the back of her Honda. I would have guessed Susanne Sommers. And I would have been wrong....AGAIN! Gawd I hate Jeopardy!

Holzhauer crossed the $2 million mark on Friday's show. He is now less than half a million behind Jennings' 74 day total after 27 games.
Given his usual per-day average, he should surpass Jennings' total is less than half as many games (obviously, assuming he keeps winning).

Thursday's show was close with Holzhauer down 3-4k after the first round, and finishing the second round only a couple thousand ahead. He was fortunate to get a daily double in that second round, and made it a true daily double just to get close to the lead again (I think he was at around 6500, while the leader was around 1500).
Friday's show was impressive in that he ended up winning 74k without hitting any of the daily doubles.

I keep checking this thread to see when he gets eliminated, so I can go back to watching Jeopardy again. He is like watching a computer play. No fun in that. The Teachers Tournament was a nice break.

15 - Through 28 episodes, number of games where James won more than $80,000.

His run is simply incredible.
That said, there are a few players that gave him a run and if they got a Daily Double instead of James his streak would be over.

After only 31 games, James is now within striking distance of Jennings' 74 game total. If he keeps winning, he should set a new record for money won in regular Jeopardy play within the next three shows.
In order to break the record on Friday, he would need to beat his own single game record by about $7000. His most-likely day to break it is Monday, but a couple of low scoring games could push it to Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

Anyone know how many more episodes they've got left this season? I know filming wrapped a month or so ago, but sounds like the shoot 4-5 episodes a day and do the whole season in a tight window.
edit: Gargler'd it and looks like Season35 wraps up late July. So buckets of episodes left.

He's been sandbagging by not answering the easy questions lately to make it look closer. It wouldn't surprise me if he took a dive after cashing $2.5MM.

Pretty strange, I just assumed he'd try to destroy everyone for as long as he could. Maybe he just got bored.

You would think. But maybe he just has a really pressing engagement and had to go?
I'll bet there'll be a funny story coming out.
