Are you telling me that only 3 players in the entire NHL have had 5 points in a game this season and they’re all Flames?
That’s remarkable.
There have been 16 five point games this season, one of which was a six point game (Gaudreau).
Of the 16 five+ point games, Calgary(Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Monahan), Tampa(Kucherov x2 + Point), and Chicago (DeBrincat, Kane, Toews) now each have three. VAN (Pettersson x2), and Winnipeg (Laine, Wheeler) have a couple. Barkov (FLA), Domi (MTL), Voracek (PHI) and Stone (OTT) have the rest.
Crazy that every Canadian team besides the media-darling Maple Leafs and Oilers have had at least one 5pt game.

Laine scored 5 goals all by himself earlier this year, too. That tweet is poorly-worded.
It's intended to say that the Flames have had three 5-point scorers this year. Cool.

The Flames are closing in on having a 30 point lead on the Oilers.
Of all the years for their fans to beak off about their team or the Flames you would think this would be the year they might want to take a seat and just not type anything. Maybe just take the rest of the year off.
Some nights where we win it's like that. Just straight up silence.
But it's okay, there's usually plenty of funny Oilers self deprecating misery elsewhere on the internet to make up for it.

Gonna be a rough road to the final. Have to play Vegas and Calgary, then WPG/NSH/STL and then likely Tampa.
Steep hill to climb. The crazy thing is, it almost doesn't matter how well they play in the 3 series leading into the final. It's going to be a whole other beast. We dominated every round in 2016 until the finals and then got smoked.
My heart can't handle that happening again.
Don't worry little sharkie, you'll only have to play Vegas and Calgary.
Edit: Also from Peters interview it seems Mony is just sick not injured which is good news.
At the very end of the interview Tkachuk mentions being on top of the Pacific again, which after deflecting praise for a full presser was an affirmation of his confidence in our club being the best in the West down the stretch now.

That game was pure dominance. Rangers never really felt like they were in it. Even before the first puck was dropped you could sense the Rangers were consigned to their fate. Kind of like when the Flames take on the Townsend Tigers. Really a game that wasn’t a game.
That was a total performance from the whole team, calm, measured and just kept coming, rather than sitting on the lead. A couple of things stood out to me:
Gaudreau: Only 4-5 minutes into the game and the Rangers get a 2 on 1 break, JG puts on the burners, gets back and breaks up the play, stealing the puck. Compare that to the saviour up north, who is a very quick skater, but can't be bothered to get back and help but pushies his D man instead. That is the differenece between a team player and player just out for his own stats.
Frantenberg - This guy is a very good pick up. He isn't flashy but he seems to do a lot of things right. Gets into the right holes to take players out of the play but will also get involved on the rush if the opportunity arises, all whilst ensuring he is not leaving his partner in trouble. Solid trade.
