So......what happens if Smith keeps letting in softies and Gillies keeps making breakaway saves? Do we go with Gillies and Lack?

Really happy Dube made this set of cuts, it really sends the right message. He certainly earned a longer look last night with his play against Edmonton.

He won't make the team in the end, but you have to reward that kind of thing; he did exactly what they say you should do to get noticed.

Pollock still up which is a bit of a surprise. Not that he is making the team or anything.

Gawdin looked good in my admittedly limited viewings of him in the Penticton tourney. A physical, right-handed centre who can skate fairly well could be worth a contract once he gets more experience in junior.

You have to credit Dube and Pollock with being two of the top 3 fittest rookies based on what was tweeted.

It would send a terrible message to these kids if they did everything right in the offseason only to be hit with the first cuts.

It wouldn't surprise me to see them stick around longer than expected, along with Healey who was the other guy in the top 3.

It's a step up for Pollock. Probably has a realistic shot at a full time AHL gig this year. Didn't he spend most his season in the ECHL?

Hopefully plugs like Gazdic and Glass are gone after this next preseason game. The Grossmanns of forwards basically.

Yep.

Apparently they had actually signed Gazdic to an AHL deal (what a ridiculously stupid move. Gazdic should be on a PTO as well at best).

Really wish they didn't bring in any of Glass, Gazdic or Cramarossa to the organization because they all are serious garbage. Surely they could've found better not so good warm bodies than those 3 bums.

Gazdic was actually signed by the Flames on July 2 to a two-way deal.

Gazdic has a two way NHL contract.

Gadzic is probably just Bollig's replacement in the AHL. I wouldn't be concerned about it.
