Default Front yard rink

I have looked through city bylaws and cant find what I'm looking for.

I have a sever slope in our back yard and can't build a rink, I do however have a huge front yard that I could build one on.

Is there any bylaws prohibiting a front yard rink in Calgary?

Good question. No idea but I'd be giving 311 a try.

Cornwall, Ontario:

city bylaw requires all outdoor rinks and similar structures to be built at least 20 feet from the road

Good News...

I can accurately say that you are probably 20 feet away from any road in Cornwall...

If you are allow d to build one, then to me it would be a good gesture to provide your neighbors with a written heads up on your plans, and provide them with your contact info. And state that you are prepared to re-imburse them should a flying puck damage their property or vehicle

A front yard rink sounds like asking for trouble from a liability perspective. Is your front yard fenced in? Will anyone be able to access the ice at any time? Are you going to be able to lock a gate to keep people off of it? How close is street parking to the proposed rink? Is it a front drive street? How close are the neighbors cars and homes?

Huge liability issues. I would never recommend anyone do this.
