Who is this Patrick Harper character.... just some puck luck or does it look like a steal for NSH?

No clue really who he is, but he has impressed in the exhibition games and now in the first game of the season as well.

It's sort of funny how Harper and Keller share the same birthday, they're both undersized, and yet one guy went in the top 10 and the other went in the 5th round. If Harper can keep up with Keller this season that will be a hell of a story.

It looks like he's mostly played high school hockey: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=229608

He had 4 points in 9 games in the USHL last season. He was scoreless in the Hlinka tournament last year, which probably didn't help raise his stock much.

Reading his scouting report, he seems like the kind of kid you hope turns into another Gaudreau, but likely doesn't. Obviously, the Preds are hoping he does.

BU played their first of two games in two nights in Denver, falling 4-3. Hickey scored the first goal of the night for the Terriers. He had 3 shots in the game.

BU wins 7-0. Hickey may have a chance with the Flames next year if he decides to sign. Flames may really push for him to sign next year.

Another BU home game tonight against Quinnipiac. Here's the live video link: https://campusinsiders.com/live/10-2...iac-at-bu-mih/

Game time is 5pm MT.

In last night's action:
BU won 7-0 over Sacred Heart. Hickey had no points and finished the night with a 0 +/- (3 of the goals were on the PP).

Colgate lost 4-3 to Merrimack. Harrison was a +1 but had no points. After 4 games, Colgate is still winless (0-2-2). The two teams face each other again tonight.

BU is off this weekend after getting back-to-back shutouts last weekend. Last weekend, BU had 10 goals in 2 games and Hickey had no points.

Colgate hosts Maine for two games this weekend. Last night, they tied 2-2. It was Colgate's 3rd tie of the season. They have yet to win a game, starting the season with 3 losses and 3 ties. After starting the season with a goal and an assist in their first two games, Harrison has been kept off the score sheet in each of their last 4 games.

They are currently playing their second game in two nights against Maine. Colgate leads 3-1 after the first period. No points for Harrison.

Harvard finally kicked off its regular season schedule last night with a visit to the hockey hotbed of Arizona State. The game was played in the Gila River Arena, in front of a whopping 1,775 fans. Harvard crushed the Sun Devils, 7-0. Fox had 2 assists.

The two teams play again tonight at 8:00pm Calgary time.

Colgate finally got their first win of the season. They took a 3-1 lead into the third period and Maine scored a couple of early ones to tie it. Colgate got a late PP and were able to pull ahead with less than 4 minutes left. An empty-netter sealed the deal for a 5-3 win.

Harrison had the primary assist on the game winner.

Harvard won their game last night against ASU 6-2. Fox had one assist.

Fox now has 3 points in 2 games (all assists) and is fourth on the team in points and tied for second in assists. He's also tied for first in +/- with a +4. All of the players ahead of him in points are Senior Forwards, and he's the only Freshman in the Harvard top-10 in points.

Harvard's next game is also Colgate's next game. The two teams will meet at Harvard on Friday. After having this week off, BU's season resumes on Friday with a home-and-home weekend series against Northeastern.

-----

Also, since he's college committed, checking in on Mitch Mattsson: He has 4 points (all assists) in 11 games played for Bloomington in the USHL. Bloomington does not appear to have a very good team this season. They have a 3-6-2 record after 11 games, which puts them 15th out of 17 teams overall.

Ties all around on Friday night.

Of course Colgate tied their game. That's what they do. They visited Harvard on Friday night. Harvard put 42 shots on the Colgate goalie, and he stopped all but one. Fox had an assist on the lone Harvard goal. That gives Fox 4 assists in 3 games. Harrison had no points in the game.

Elsewhere in Boston tonight, BU visited (one of) their crosstown rivals, Northeastern. They played to a 4-4 draw. Hickey had one assist.

Saturday night, Colgate visits Dartmouth; Harvard hosts Cornell; and BU hosts Northeastern for the second of their home-and-home series.

The BU game should be live-streamed.

Looks like Terriers won 3-0. Hickey was held off the scoresheet but did get a minor for hooking. Harper (2) and Bellows with the goals. Keller with 2A.

Colgate lost 2-0 to Dartmouth. Obviously, no points for Harrison.

Harvard defeated Cornell 4-3. Another assist for Fox. 5 assists in 4 games now for Fox. He leads the team in assists and is only 1 point back of the team lead for points. He has the most points for a freshman on Harvard, the next highest has 2 points. He also has the most points for a defenceman on the team, the next highest has 2.

I am getting increasingly more excited for Adam Fox, the kid is as cerebral as it gets. I look forward to seeing him progress over the next few years.

All three Flames prospects are in action tonight...
  • Colgate is playing Yale. Harrison opened the scoring, with his third goal of the season, early in the first period. The game is currently tied at 1 after one.

  • Harvard is playing Princeton. The Crimson lead 1-0 after one. The goal is currently listed as unassisted, but in the NCAA, assists sometimes don't get added until the intermission.

  • BU is visiting Michigan for two games this weekend. Tonight's game has just started. There's a free livestream of the game here: http://www.mgoblue.com/collegesportslive/?media=537960

Tomorrow, Harvard is playing at Quinnipiac at 5:00pm MT. The game will apparently be available on TSN GO in Canada.

Colgate won 4-1. Harrison ended with 1 goal.

Harvard won 5-2. Another game, another assist for Fox. He was also a team-leading +4 in the game (no one else was better than a +2).

BU lost 4-0. Hickey was a -1 and took one penalty.

Mitchell Mattson is struggling this season in the USHL.

He has 1g 4a in 14 games. To equate how rough that is the NHLe would be about 8pts.

Just emphasizes he is going to be a long term project and probably a wise decision for him not to jump directly into the NCAA.

No points for any of the Flames prospects on Saturday.

Colgate and Harvard both lost their games 4-2. BU won their game 4-2 (their first win at Michigan in their last 7 games there).

This was the first game where Fox didn't get a point, and it was also Harvard's first loss of the season.

Wins all around for the Flames' prospects tonight.
  • BU defeated UConn, 2-1. No points for Hickey, 2 shots and a +1.
  • Colgate defeated Princeton, 4-3. No points for Harrison. 2 shots, +1, and one penalty.
  • Harvard defeated Boston College, 5-2. Fox had another 2 assists.

That's now 8 points in 7 games for Fox. He's tied for third in points on the team. He has the most points for both freshmen (5 points up) and defencemen (4 points up) on the Crimson. All 8 of his points are assists, which leads the team.

BU and Colgate are in action again on Saturday. Harvard's next game is a rare weeknight game on Tuesday as they travel across town to take on BU in a pre-Thanksgiving match-up.
