It's been a while since I watched it, but wasn't Rambo IV pretty well received by fans (not critics obviously). If I remember correctly it was a straight-up action movie, like the ones we grew up on in the 80s and 90s.

It was over the top, but if you wanted that it didn't disappoint.
The first Rambo movie "First Blood" is actually a genuinely good movie. The rest become more and more parody like.
And yes...Stallone at 72, could probably still kick your ass:
Ya, first one was great, 2 and 3 were dumb, last one was pretty good for a pure action movie.
Not crazy about the idea of him fighting the Mexican Cartel, seems like a bad idea.

My god his arms look ridiculous. Are those pics doctored? I give him props for staying in fantastic shape but the Rocky physique looked a lot better and more natural. Back on topic do we really need another Rambo movie?
Rambo 4 was insanely violent, gory, and ridiculously over the top. I enjoyed every second of it. The .50 cal to the face was great, but so was the throat rip scene.
