I have it on good authority that an official 'Mile' is 5,280 feet, whereas Denver's official (as per wiki) elevation is a mere 5,278 feet.
Making their moniker of the 'Mile-High' City an outright lie!

This was on the plane when we were still in the air. She came around looking at everyone's ticket if they had a connecting flight and told them what gate to go to. We trusted she knew what she was talking about and like I said that was our first time flying in 20 years.
But even so we should have been told of her error when my dad and brother-in-law checked to see if we were at the proper gate. And to make matters worse they let my sister and her family go through when we were boarding and then finally realized their error when they got to us and then went and called them back.
