I agree. I fully agree. Playoffs was the worst frankly. The question is why would a player of his calibre have no passion and the answer comes down to motivation. Why no motivation? Only he know for sure. At this time last year I thought it was conditioning, but after the trade my new theory was that this is more than just conditioning given how everything went down.

Someone asked earlier about people saying Peters being a good coach. For the record this isnt my opinion, he should be fired but still worth seeing

I'm not defending Bill at all here and I dont want him as the coach, I just posted it because someone earlier asked if there was anyone who liked him as a coach.

People focused on the n-word are missing the main point. Yes it’s completely unacceptable to use the n-word and Peters was absolutely in the wrong. But the key allegation here is that Peters tried to destroy Akim’s career after he called Peters out on his language.
If true, this is incredibly vile. A coach should never try to destroy a young player’s career, and people who tried to cover this up should be held to account.

The part about him burying Aliu seems speculative to me. The flames need to act on the inappropriate language, it was unacceptable, moronic and despicable. But Akim did lots to sabotage his own career, he had a rep as a loose cannon. He never produced at the ahl level under multiple coaches. Facts and wild twitter mob speculation/theories should be separated.
There was definitely a bit of a dog pile on Twitter today.
Guys like Eddie Lacks dad should stfu in my opinion until this is sorted and all the facts emerge. Hes not doing anybody any favors by crying about a coach being mean to his son.

I don’t recall noticing Aliu when he turned pro, but he did score 11 goals in his rookie season in 48 games, and says he was dispatched to the ECHL while scoring at a 20-goal pace. I think it’s a fair question the extent to which his treatment by coaches and admin (not just Peters) contributed to detailing his hockey career.

Happy to see that we have finally created a safe space in society that athletes have been empowered to speak up about physical, sexual and emotional abuse. The biggest part is that the person is believed first and foremost. Thanking the universe today for the lesson.

Since I'm sure players in the league had way more knowledge of Peters' antics than we did as fans, I wonder if Peters coaching in Calgary had any effect on Kadri's decision not to waive to come here.

Brutal brutal news and Peters has got to go. He should never have said what he said to Aliu and reading Michal Jordan’s account was just brutal and makes me look at players like Gaudreau and Monahan and understand maybe why they have taken massive steps back; who knows how Peters is coaching those guys.
Get him out already please and thank you.

And stay with Babcock instead? Pretty sure he just didn't want to come here/leave the Leaves. We weren't on his No trade List because of Peters
