I had to google SJW.

I guess Canada, like all places, has some truly rotten people.

Wa listening to Jim Rome and Kevin Weekes was on. Kevin’s comments regarding Humboldt were nothing short of amazing IMO. I don’t watch the NHL network much but was very impressed by Kevin — well done.

As for that vile human being who tried to make this a race and gender issue...she's known to be a troll. She's basically the female left wing SJW equivalent of the mouth breathers on r/the_donald.
They also violated the federal hours of service in the Northwest Territories.

What do you mean "She's not wrong"?

Does race, age, and gender have a baring on what you should feel about a person who has gone through a tragedy?

Her post is very clear that if this happened to a senior citizen girls basketball team from Kenya that she would indeed feel much worse for the victims instead of feeling the same.

Nipawin was up 3-1 in the series.

I'd like to think by continuing they'd be honouring the kids who can't be there but it might be too much too soon, so I wouldn't be surprised if they shut 'er down and named the Broncs the honourary champs or something.
Yeah, I don't know if there is a right or wrong way of going about it. I think continuing with the playoffs might be a great way to raise additional funds for the people impacted by the tragedy.

But I can't imagine that it won't be anything but difficult and heartbreaking.

I can't even look. When the driver's or owner's family member appeared on the news last night, I knew it was going to turn all kinds of ugly. So many good people in this situation bit oh so many disgusting humans on this sphere.

She’s not wrong? She’s about as wrong as one can get.

I’m glad her tweet was posted. What a despicable person.

@FarhanLaljiTSN:
The SJHL playoffs will be going forward. A schedule will be provided later today. Remember the league had committed they would not make any decision without the full support of #Humboldt. @TSN_Sports @TSNHockey

Here's the link for anyone who wants to listen to this. The stuff about the Broncos starts around the 12:47 mark.

She's getting rape threats, death threats and threats to her children. What good is that?

It's a total dogpile. She might want to step away from the keyboard for a couple days.

This happenned earlier this week:

NEW DELHI — A speeding school bus plunged off a mountainside in northern India on Monday, killing 23 children and four adults, an official said. Several children survived.

How should Canadians respond as compared to the Humboldt reaponse? Should be the same or different? Couldnt those families use donations more than Canadians that have decent health and social programs?

Threats are never acceptable, obviously, especially ones of that nature.

The correct response to that tweet should be widespread recognition that said person's opinions should be considered as fully ignorable. That's the worst tweet I've seen in ages, since that PR lady who talked about not getting AIDS in Africa because she's white.

People are the worst. Not to mention she's posting a bunch of these, so these threats may come back and bite these people in the ass.

Why can't you just express your dislike for her tweet without resorting to threats of violence?

Yea, she's starting to get some pretty vile stuff thrown her way. She certainly deserves to get some flak for her idiotic and tone-deaf tweet, but things are getting really out of hand now. Nobody deserves to get death threats over something like this. All that crap does is make the situation worse.

She might want to delete her initial tweet though, at least to try and minimize some of the blowback. She must have known that posting such a dumb comment would come back to bite her in the arse.

She's an idiot and deserves every ounce of hate verbally sent her way. Had to go back a couple pages to understand what all the SJW talk was about, but now seeing it, and seeing her twitter feed (she is basically doubling down and trying to capitalize on the blowback by reposting it and laughing about it). Of course I wish her no physical harm, but hopefully her reputation (if she even had one) is ruined.

This was 1986, there weren't CIS trained people on every corner, the hockey world was a lot more closed and people were expected to be a lot tougher back then. I'm sure it wasn't hard to stop anything.

We didn't have 24/7 news coverage, twitter, or people rushing in to help counsel victims.
