"They" in this case is random people, not LEGO themselves. Cuusoo is where anyone can design and submit a set and if it gets enough vote LEGO will look at it and make it if they think it's a good idea.

It's also sitting at 8.9 on IMDB, and Fox News totally hates the movie (with its liberal, anti-business message...from a movie that doubles as a free advertisement...), making me looking forward to seeing it even more. Sounds like its in the Toy Story/Up level quality of animated movies.

I saw the movie last night...absolutely loved it...way more entertaining than I thought...lots of subtle wit to it.
Would see again/10

It was really a great movie. Go with your kids. Go even if you don't have kids (although you will be surrounded by them this weekend). So much fun.
We're taking the little guy to the LEGO Store* today because he was inspired by some of the creations he saw in the film.
*Hooray for marketing

Absolutely agree with the reviews here for The Lego Movie. I Loved it, 10/10. Also, got the Lego Movie Game, played it for hours last night with my son. Best Lego game to date. It follows the movie and has many clips in it. Totally recommend it as well.

Yep. Pretty cool movie. Different than I was expecting. Had more of a stop-motion style than the other Lego-based videos. Lots of people laughing at different parts of the movie so seemed to touch people differently. Had a real "Matrix" vibe to it, story-wise. The little sister part at the end was hilarious. That is pretty much my family, except I never invested in Duplo sets or pieces.. But there are enough pink and purple pieces to drive my son nuts.

Great movie. I watched it and from the first frame was saying "Awesome!" This was followed by more "Awesomes" and finally it was just an "Everything is Awesome!"
I find it funny that Fox News didn't like the supposed anti-business spin. There is no anti-business theme which just means they never actually watched it. Shocking I know.
Seriously, an excellent movie and 4% of critics that gave it a rotten tomatoes need never be listened to or read again.
It was lego weekend at our house. Some new constructions of the Eiffel tower, Empire State Building, Leaning tower of Pisa, the Sidney Opera House and some hobbit stuff were undertaken by the kids...well the oldest kid (7).

Or do the people made digital LEGO movies I see just use a traditional 3D animation app?
