Can't see this ending well for Peters at all. That is a very serious accusation

I agree, and I don’t think Peters should be fired based on performance. But if this is true he needs to go.

That is unacceptable behaviour. I think this whole Babcock situation might mean the end of the old school tough guy coaching philosophy. At least I hope it does.

From the context I assumed he said to shut that ***** music off.

Guess that was my own assumption but that's what my head went too.

I sure hope the organization and Peters address this publicly.

Quite the accusation. Will need to hear what Peters says.

I'm not sure what kind of work environment everyone else on this board has experienced, but N-bomb dropping on the job has been cause for lawful dismissal across Canada for a long long time. Certainly it was in 2008.

The second part of that tweet is 100% Babcockian. Goes a long way towards ruining someones career out of spite.

I’d lean towards believing Akim on this. That guy has dealt with the ugly underbelly of hockey at almost every level.

I’m genuinely intrigued to see if this story gains any momentum, and what Peters response will be.

You're comfortable with our head coach having used racial slurs in the past while in the same position of authority he is in now? I'm sure as hell not.

If this is true, get Peter's the #### outta here.

I don't want to cheer for a racist coach, that sends racial slurs to my (or any other) race.

You're making light of it so I assume it's not a big deal to you.

Mmm no. Not sure how you made that connect but as a minority myself I take things like racism very seriously and if the accusations are true Peters should be gone immediately.

I just find it hard to believe a professional (AHL) coach would use language like this.

If it's true though (a Versteeg or such could probably verify it?), there's no way you can keep him employed.

It's really confusing for people like myself because the Me Too movement is entirely separate from and irrelevant to an incident like this.

I didn't read it quite like a previous poster, but it was just a really weird reference to make.
