That’s fine. Didn’t think he deserved suspension.

For the very subtle head butt.

Right call.

it's actually pretty ridiculous, considering there was no head butt.

Guy bumps the goalie, he is going to get roughed up. If that deserved a fine, there should be fines levied every night.

The intent was there I think when he pushed forward but I think he knew as well that it was just going to bump his visor; it’s just great to see guys standing up for Markstrom and letting teams know it’s not going to go unnoticed if they muck it up in the crease. Kind of refreshing.

If the intent was there, he wouldn't have put his hand in front of his helmet

Since it's the Flames I was cynically expecting a 2 game suspension. I'm weirdly relieved

I think its because Ras dropped the gloves and started punching. If he didnt do that it was probably a minor penalty or nothing.

no problem with the fine, not close to suspension worthy.

Clearly the league is thinking otherwise with the 5K max fine. I don’t think it was that big of a deal, not too dangerous but too me you can see him leading with his helmet as the roughing is taking place. Sure Yam is pushing his hands up so Ras is guarding from that but he’s still also pushing through with his helmet leading through which I think is what the league is considering when coming to the determination of the fine. Good for Ras standing up for his goaltender though it’s nice to see and the Oilers took a few liberties last night with Markstrom.

He hit him with his glove...fine is 100% HNIC jumping to conclusions

Brad should accidentally drop 5k on his doorstep while out for a jog

Every glove to the face is now a fine

Do we know the fine was for the fake 'headbutt' and not the punches after?
