2021 USports football thread
Folks, the defending Vanier Cup champion U of C Dinos are back in action this Saturday night at McMahon Stadium as they take on the Saskatchewan Huskies.
Also, the following is great to hear:
Every U Sports national championship is set to be broadcast on CBC Sports.
The sides announced a four-year agreement on Monday, which includes the English-language broadcast 2021 Vanier Cup exclusively on CBC-TV.

Happy that one of my running backs Karson Moroz has made the team. Some of my former players didn't make it. But Karson is a great kid and a really good running back, and I'll be following with a lot of interest.
A lot of former Cowboys on the roster.

I don't usually put too much stock in the top 10 rankings especially this early in the season, but it is surprising to see Laval with two losses after four games played.

When was the last time Laval wasn't in the top 5?

You likely have to go all the way back to 2002 as that was the last season where they recorded 2 losses in the regular season. It's either undefeated or one loss during the regular season from 2003-2019.

Dinos drop to #3 in the rankings this week with Montreal claiming top spot. The usual suspects are in the top 5 along with Queen's who are off to a 3-0 start.

Well, the Dinos snatched defeat from the jaws of victory today. They were up 20-5 in the 3rd quarter, but turnovers and the offense stalling results in a 28-20 victory for the Bisons. Calgary drops to 1-2 on the season while the Bisons remain perfect at 3-0
