So Philip Samuelsson, not Henrik.

Haven't heard Brule's name in years. Looks like he's been in the KHL for 4 years.

Cool! Gilbert Brule!

Neat fact; Brule came from Kunlun Red Star last season, based in Beijing. Looks like he swapped places with the real Flames team lol

Also it was Andrew O'Brien signed to an AHL deal. Not Zach O'Brien to a PTO.

Michael Paliotta is also on an AHL deal with stockton that was not previously announced.

Interesting to see Duncan Siemens on there as well. I remember Avs fans hyping him up as the next big thing back in the day.

The rosters for the preseason games in North America before the main club comes back are going be not much different than the development camp rosters.

Duncan Siemens is the only remotely intriguing name on there.

Also looks like the only cut from prospect camp was goaltender Shane Farkas

He was. I went to see U2 in Edmonton a few years back when Brule was on the roster. During the concert Bono told the story IIRC about how he and The Edge had a vehicle breakdown or something and needed to hitchhike and it ended up being Brule that picked them up.

/cool story bro

Duncan Siemens had 2 points (including his only career NHL goal) and 23 PIMS last year

against the Flames- 2 pts, 21 PIMs
against the rest of the NHL 0 pts, 2 PIMS

Sproul was pretty highly touted coming out of juniors.

His AHL stats seem pretty decent too. Wonder why there are no takers.

Hard to believe at one point people were talking about Brule being a franchise player. He was drafted the same year as Crosby the year prior (2004 I think?) people were talking about it being Crosby vs Brule.
