of course not and I didn't say that I'm talking about the last weeks in general and the fact that late goals and lucky wins routinely overshadow ####ty performances.
I'm resigned to the fact that this clown is staying all season ... doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. Hate the football, hate the antics, hate everything he stands for and I'll be ecstatic once he leaves the club.
Haha, yeah I guess I’m easier going about it. I’ve obviously stated I want him gone, but if he can bring on funny theatrics on his way out, I’ll enjoy it.

Great article on the super league, Man City and FFP.
Quote:
That is the true image cast by the revelations of the last week, one that has ramifications far beyond tribal self-interest: of not just one club, but of a whole host of them that believe the rules should be altered to fit their needs; of teams so inflated by success that they can now casually disregard the diktats of their governing bodies; of teams too big to fail, beyond control.
That is what led City both to deceive and then disdain UEFA. It is what led to the endless changes to the Champions League and the tweaks to domestic cup competitions and a series of bans for illegally approaching, or signing, young players: an essential arrogance, a disregard for consequence, a belief that might makes right. It is what threatens the fundamental rupture in the fabric of the game best reflected in that Bayern-concocted plot for a breakaway super league that would involve pulling players out of all international soccer, including the World Cup.
Perhaps it is understandable that City tried to circumvent a set of rules designed, to a large extent, specifically to protect the teams it was trying to usurp. Perhaps it was justified in fighting, tooth and nail, the idea that it might be punished by what it considers a rigged system. Perhaps UEFA got lucky that it did not go to court. Perhaps, too, it would be evidence of a skewed morality to condemn City’s owners for all of that but not for the allegations of human rights abuses and oppression they have overseen in the United Arab Emirates.
But to turn a blind eye to that, as the game’s authorities seem likely to do, is to help yet again usher in a game with one rule for the rich and another for the poor; a game of governing bodies that cower at the trembling fist of the great and the good; a game of teams who decide which rules suit them, and when, and of authorities who act at the behest of their most powerful subjects and fans that contort themselves to praise actions that might otherwise draw scorn. It is to embrace a game that is not being run in the interests of the many, but the few, and a world where the quality of an idea is no match for a quantity of petrol.
The truth is that FFP is virtually toothless when it comes to these clubs. They have enormous amounts of money, and the penalty for contravening the rules is financial...what's the point? Even if it's not refunded (which is astounding to begin with), they have the cash and it's not a penalty.
The only penalty of consequence would be point deductions, title stripping and demotion. I'm not saying that's going to happen to City because it seems generally accepted that they're involved in financial doping, but it should. I think to allow them to build this global network of incestuous organizations is bad for the game. Again...everyone knows what's going on here, but nothing is done to take control of the situation.
I think I have this right, but Spurs need to win and have Inter not win to progress (Inter advance if they are tied on points), Liverpool have to beat Napoli, but not 1-0. Either way would be hilarious for a dog #### United to get through, but Spurs and Liverpool in their best start to a PL ever going out.

World class performances by Marquinhos and Thiago Silva, the entire Liverpool attack was in their pockets all game. The penalty shouldn’t of been awarded in my opinion but they limited Liverpool to I believe one shot on goal. Thiago Silva was immense at the World Cup and is such a tremendous center back, doesn’t get enough credit for how good he is but I guess that’s the price you pay when you play in Ligue 1.
Also Mbappe and Neymar weren’t too shabby either, Salah is great but the talk about him being a top 3 player was always nonsense. Didn’t know what to do when he came up against two incredibly fast Center backs.
I don't know, if Liverpool start a midfield like they did tonight they will, like tonight, struggle to score. Ton of pressure on the players and Klopp too, from CL final to group stage exit and Europa League would be incredibly humiliating.

Henderson is becoming the "Mike Smith" of the team. Klopp seemingly has to put him on because he is the captain and the longest-tenured member right now.

Spurs one is right, Liverpool need to win by 2
If they win by 1 goal but napoli score then the italians go through on h2h away goals
If they win by 1 goal but napoli score then the italians go through on h2h away goals
I think 1-0 takes Liverpool through
Would go all the way down to having scored the most goals.
Napoli get one though and Liverpool have to win by at least two.
Some pretty underwhelming play from Liverpool in the CL so far this season. 3 away games and 3 losses. Still a doable task to get through, but it won't be easy
