What hit did you watch? He leaves his feet and principal point of contact is his elbow to Backlunds head.

Wish Monahan had just taken the easy empty netter. Probably saves Backlund from taking that hit if it's 3-0. Both teams would just run out the clock then.
I only got to see the 3rd, but the Flames looked great. Completely shut it down defensively. Hard to believe the last game was 9-6!

Smith looked so shaky at the start to me, every shot a threat, but wow did he look like he got his confidence back as the game went on, great to see. Gio looked possessed tonight, and Johnny was in full skill mode. Hope Backs is ok, loved Lombergs reaction, Peters makes great decisions on the lineup. Fun to be this good, I’m ready to call us contenders
