I'll admit the oilers have actually found success from having crusty veterans and average goaltending. We joked they got older when broberg and holloway left, but got playoff vet experience. Like Arviddson can opener-ing McNabb with no call- making McNabb useless for the series- crusty, dirty, playoff veteran move. They have guys who have been there and know how to play on the line- which is absolutely critical for playoffs. And adam 'washed up' henrique scoring twice. It's bizzaro world. Without needing their two main boys, they've had success.
The problem with crusty old veterans is they wear out. Just start pounding these old guys and they'll wear out. They need an opponent that will do that right back to them and play on that same line- dirty enough to injure and wear down without taking serious penalties/suspensions. And a good PK to manage all the penalties called by the oilers diving.
Don't know that the stars or jets have that in them.

Doughnut Party is giving mailing list subscribers $5 every time the Oilers win.

I'm conflicted.

I think a healthy Dallas team and a healthy Winnipeg team both would handle the Oilers.

Unfortunately, we have no idea how banged up players are. Oilers are usually quite lucky with health, for some odd reason.

what else is there? Oilers are for sure cup or bust...its always darkest before the dawn. McDavid and Bouch contract this summer, no room for Kane, Perry retires. Just need to get through one more playoff with them not winning, by any means.

Hopefully this started the Vegas Demise... their veterans looked slow and old. They didn't have the greatest forward depth and they probably have to move on from Hauge in the offseason.

The question is can they handle the Oilers and the officials tilting the ice in Edmonton's favour? It's a tough task. It was so bloody obvious in the Vegas series you could swear the zebras were betting their paychecks on it.

That's where Dallas can, hopefully, return the favour. Benn can be a grade-a prick, Marchment as well.
