Nice comeback by the Flyers! They were down 3-0 in the first period and won 4-3 in regulation time.

The Canucks and Leafs are tied 1-1 in the second period. Virtanen just scored on the power play and has both goals, 2-1 Canucks.

|
Leafs lose 3-1 to the Nucks.
Demko played great and I feel like that 2nd goal by Hutch really deflated the team.
Hutch is a great 3rd/4th string goalie but no way can he be a backup. Leafs goalie injuries need to stop now.

The Leafs have the kind of record right now that gives them a cushion

They were down 3-0 not even 4 minutes into the game. Giroux with 2g and 1a including the GWG with under 3 minutes left in reg time.

The Lightning were down 2-0 in the 2nd period when the Bhawks scored 2 goals. Then Lightning struck twice early in the 3rd period to tie it. Strong goaltending from Vasilevskiy who made 35 saves. Killorn tipped in Hedman's point shot with 0.2 seconds left in OT to get the GWG. Each team scored a SHG, but, no PPG.
The Devils scored in the 1st period and then they went straight to hell as the Rangers crushed them 6-1 even though they out shot the Rangers 36-19. Kreider gets a natural hat trick. Both teams used both of their goalies in this game. The Devils PP sucked as they went 0/4.
The Red Wings played well for 40 minutes as they were tied 2-2 with the Hurricanes. Carolina took over in the 3rd period by scoring 3 goals including an empty net goal with over 5 minutes left in the game. Staal had 3 points.
The Panthers keep on playing well. They defeated the Predators 5-4 in reg time. Ekblad with 4 points and Barkov had 3 points.

Ekblad is really flourishing under coach Q. It's nice to see after lots of people wrote him off as a bit of a disappointment.

Coach Q has done wonders with the Panthers. It is really good to see the franchise on an upward trend. Didn't realize that the Panthers like playing on the road, they are 7-1-1.

It's pretty amazing how much impact a legendary coach can make.
I really hope Sutter can have a similar impact here. Imo Sutter is not quite q level but he's no slouch.
