Who do you prefer the Flames face next round? Dallas or St. Louis

More or less the same roster that crumpled to one player in round #1 last year. They simply are not on the same level as Vegas Colorado or St. Louis. So I suppose Dallas is the best draw for round 1. However I don’t like our chances against them.

I think you want to play St. Louis now before they get their game together. Once they have a rhythm going they'll be hard to beat. They've looked a little disjointed in the seeding round.

What is it with these Stars/Blues games having huge implications for the Flames? I'm reminded of Game 7 between St Louis and Dallas in 2016 where, because the Stars lost, the Flames received their second-round pick in that year's draft instead of their first (as part of the Kris Russell trade).

In the end, it worked out OK for Calgary, which picked Dillon Dube with the Stars' second. Dallas picked Riley Tufte in the first, and he's not even close to the NHL. Not many great players picked around him, either.
