Who do you prefer the Flames face next round? Dallas or St. Louis
So with the Blackhawks eliminating the Oilers the Flames will face the 3rd seed if Vancouver wins or the 4th seed if Minnesota wins.
The 3rd and 4th seed are down to Dallas or St. Louis. The winner of the Stars/Blues round robin game on Sunday will get the 3rd seed, the loser 4th.
So who do you think the Flames match up better against?

I know who Chucky wants.
He was talking about this pretty much as soon as the re-start was announced.
It’ll be like the Tkachuk friendship tour to all his pops former haunts.
St. Louis next, then Arizona!

It's not Vegas or Colorado so I'm fine with either... i think we match up well against Dallas.

Dallas is the obvious answer, but after going 3-0 against Colorado last year who really knows I suppose.
Still, we went 2-1 against Dallas this year and 0-1-2 against the Blues.
Plus Dallas lost their last 6 regular season games, and are 0-2 in the reseeding so far.
Only 12 goals for in those 8 games, 26 against.

Dallas is really hot and cold. Seems the obvious choice. The Blues were great even without Tarasenko.

Dallas is low scoring and has a goalie with accolades similar to Hellebyuck as their saving grace. Seems like a good match that is similar to WPG in ways.
If its the Blues well I guess one way to get people to take you seriously is to dismantle the defending Champs. At least you know you'll be getting Chucky's best game there.
For whatever reason, both feel preferable to COL/VGK

Don’t care
Blues gets the Tkachuk vs his hometown narrative
Stars gets the playoff dud Gaudreau vs playoff dud Seguin narrative

Dallas for sure. But really, I’m just glad they’re not playing Colorado next. Last year wasn’t a fluke. They’re a tough match up for Calgary.

If we face (and defeat) the Blues, we'll have the boost in confidence from knowing we just knocked out the reigning Stanley Cup champions.
If we face (and defeat) the Stars, we'll have the boost in confidence from knowing we just knocked out Corey Perry's dumbass.

Either.
We are the underdog either way but I like our chance of competing with either. Colorado and Vegas both scare me more.

I get the tread but if I’m the Flames it’s just one more 4 win obstacle to be removed and the on to the next.

Doesn't matter, you have to beat em all.
Also, very dangerous game to choose your opponent - be careful what you wish for.
Take who you get, and prepare accordingly.
