that's tough. I would have been happy for him if he had landed a HC or an OC job, but leaving Pittsburgh for the same job? Damn, that sucks.

Steelers are too well run a franchise to go into a total tailspin, but it certainly looks like the ship is sinking and the current incarnation will be blown up, by choice or by the timer running out, pretty soon.

Kyler officially declares for the draft. With QB desperation as is will be fascinating to see where he goes.

A’s will offer him more money which will eclipse whatever he might make as a first round nfl pick, he’ll withdraw his name within the 72 hour window, and off he goes to baseball much richer than when he began. That’s how I imagine this plays out.

Maybe, but every time i hear him i get the vibe that he wants to play football.
He is going to get wealthy either way, so i imagine he follows his heart.

They would have to offer 5.5 million more than what they gave him already... if he were to be picked with the last pick in the first round.
Rumor of him being a top 10 pick is minimum just under $18 million based on last year. Thats a lot for a MLB team to give to a draft pick IMO.

Not exactly. Guaranteed signing bonus cash for that 20-30 range is about 5-6 million, the rest is NFL contract shadiness. Change of mindset in the league or not I don’t think there’s any universe where a 5’9” QB goes top 10.

Eagles look like they might be entering a bit of a mini-rebuild next year. Graham, Darby, Ajayi, Tate, and Foles are most likely gone in free agency. Sproles, Kelce, Long, and Peters are all leaning towards retirement. With so little cap space, Roseman really needs to hit it out of the park this year in the draft.

Seems like pretty typical turnover. It's not like Ajayi is a full time player for anyone and Tate was a rental. They will need to look for a backup QB with some experience. Bridgewater maybe? Long had a good season this year so if he retires that would be a big loss.

With Dak and Garrett extensions a given, that division is going to remain terrible unless the Giants find an elite QB. 9-7 should be good enough.

Graham was something like 7th in the league for QB pressures and he played most of the year hurt, so that's definitely a big loss. With Brooks having torn his achilles and not being expected back until November, the Eagles would be down 3 Pro Bowl starters on the offensive line if Kelce and Peters retire. Going to be hard to replace that level of talent with so little cap space.

We all know it wasn't Garrett who fired Linehan. Be interesting to see what puppet gets to take Linehan's place.

The Eagles said today that Foles will get the million.

The Washington Redskins believe that quarterback Alex Smith may miss the entire 2019 season according The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport adds that if Smith plays at all next year, Washington will be "pleasantly surprised."
