Look at the performance difference between the EV Polestar 2 and the hybrid Polestar 1.
When the performance figures for their full EV look more like Tesla's, then I could see going with their full EV.

A friend of mine and his son is down there for the unveiling of the Y. Hardcore Tesla family. They have a Roadster an X and a 3. Knowing him, he will complete the set and order this.

We just got notice that Tesla just shutdown the sales store in Chinook as well as the Service Center. All employees let go as far as we know and no word if they are moving back to the rover mechanic.

Tesla fired most employees in its only service center in Calgary for being ‘inappropriate’. It sent local owners in a panic, but the automaker says that it will keep the location open.
A spokesperson for the automaker told Electrek that they fired “several members of the Calgary service team” after an investigation into their behaviors on the job:
“Several members of the Calgary service team were terminated following an investigation into an employee complaint which confirmed repeated inappropriate exchanges between colleagues. This is in violation of our workplace policies and behavior we will not tolerate at Tesla.”
The automaker confirmed to Electrek that they plan to keep the Calgary service center open and they will fill the several positions that were occupied by terminated employees.

Hmmm.. a metoo moment? Or a lake of fire-ish comment?
Must of been bad for a company like TSLA to do something this extreme....

or it could be nothing. Remember, we're talking about a company/CEO who called a rescue worker a pedo and called the police to report an ex-employee was planning a mass shooting at the factory, both of which were totally fabricated.

I think the trick is you buy the cheap version, then pay Tesla for the software lock to get the range. The battery is already there. This way it qualifies for the tax credit. Which is clearly not in the spirit of the program, but hey, loopholes!

Isn't that software lock about 5k US?

I think it has to be a lot more than that. The SR+ is....(LOL,OK, just a sec on that one) is $55,100, so basic math is saying $20 100 to unlock. If that's the case the government should tell Tesla to get bent.
Anyway, I love Tesla's advertised pricing of $48,310*. What's that asterisk mean?
Oh, don't mind us, that's just us making up a price you might spend on gas and showing you an imaginary number. Wild.

this was pretty interesting.
I had no idea putting Tesla battery fires out (and keeping them out) was so difficult.
https://driving.ca/tesla/features/fe...g-up-in-flames
What is new, what should be considered truly frightening, however, is the incredible difficulty fire crews are having in extinguishing some of these Tesla fires and, more alarming, the lengths they need to go to prevent said batteries from re-igniting.
In March of last year, a Model X that caught fire after a fatal accident near the scenic town re-ignited days after the initial crash. In fact, according to Mountain View’s fire chief, Juan Diaz, it reignited six days later, “the temperature inside those cells increasing to the point of ignition” nearly a week after the original flames had been quenched.
